I was not aware there were different rules for different parts of the FR.

    Sorry

"Hey, n00b...you are responding to a comment made by Jim Robinson...

Your point? I am not aware that we have different rules when responding to certain people.

Why don't you just lay out what I can and cannot say on this forum which calls itself The FREE Republic.

Perhaps you are one of the folks who does understand. There are many here who do not and that includes all who believe there are any circumstances where he should or could remain in office.

There is NO alternative worse the Obama, none at all and it isn’t even close.

ABO, my friend and it is MORE than enough reason. Plus the fact the coat tail effect will help secure the Senate.

The problem with you types is you do not understand the danger Obama and his cadre represent to this country. It is just that simple.

"..and now you dare whine and cry to us when you think you need us? Even while continuing to attack, bash and trash us?

Actually the whining, 100% of it is coming from you "principled" individuals who haven't the sense to understand what it means to think past the end of your uninformed noses. It's simple, you didn't get what you wanted and now like spoiled little children you piss in the punch bowl and run home to curl up in a little ball. It's difficult to get truly angry with your kind because you really haven't any idea what it is you're doing and how dangerous a game you are playing in the name of your so called "principles".

I sure hope you are right but we cannot do anything to convince Dems to stay home while we may be able to convince EVERY Rep to vote.

My numbers were illustrative as I stated in previous post. so they could be more easily understood and the point could be made of how important is every single vote.

"I believe there is no difference between Romney or Obama politically and the facts bear that out."

This is such a ridiculous comment it doesn't even warrant a reply.

Fine, you stay home and hand your vote to the commie. If he wins you can stand proudly as what is left of America crumbles around you. But hey, no big deal because you stood by your beliefs even if it did cost your kids, grandkids and all your friends children their future.

Unless of course you do not really believe Obama is so bad. Is that the case? Do you actually believe Romney is even 1/10000 as bad as the Marxist?

Well said. Unfortunately it will sail right over the heads of the “my way or the highway” members who cannot seem to grasp the primary is OVER and now it the time for the Party to get behind its’ nominee whether they personally approve of him not.

It is amazing to see people here who actually believe there is no difference, NONE, between the Marxist, ant American, Congress skirting putz in the WH and Romney.

I am convinced that at least some of them are liberal plants no matter how long they have been registered. Personally I have been a registered member of a couple of far Left sites for over 10 yrs ( as have others here mentioned they are also) and take great delight in dropping very subtle bombs now and again just to get the morons riled up at each other.

For some inexplicable reason people here on FR equate length of time registered as some sort of proof of Conservative credentials. It’s nuts but there is no explaining the lack of common sense in some folks.

Wrong. Before a wound can heal you must stop the bleeding. Obama must go, THAT is job 1. We must get the Senate, that is job 2. After we do those 2 things we work hard to have the reps push Romney right. Since legislation and all spending comes from the Congress he will be able to accomplish little without the Congress.

With the bleeding stopped and Obama gone we start working for a better and much more Conservative candidate for next time whether that be in 4 years or wight years.

I am not responsible for RINOS’ being in office. I did not vote for Romney in the primary but he is the nominee and now is when the strategic thinking comes. See beginning of this reply.

Bullshit!! Romney is as much a “Socialist” as I am. He’s a RINO, I’ll give you that but he’s is the nominee and if you cannot see the importance of getting the asswipe in the WH OUT of there then you and others like you are complicit in what happens should we fail.

You and the others like you need to pull your collective heads out of your asses and do a bit of strategic thinking instead of just considering the next year or two. We need the WH AND THE SENATE BOTH and without the WH the chances of us getting the Senate are reduced and if we don’t get a big enough majority to over ride a presidential veto (which we won’t even if we win the Senate) then we are wasting our time.

This all or nothing attitude of you people who have to have the perfect Conservative will bring this country to ruin. In politics you try for the best you can envision and then you take what is given you and make the best of it and prepare to do better next time. This is what I mean when I say you are not thinking strategically.

You know what I think? No, not think, I know. I know you really cannot grasp the importance of dumping the Marxist in the WH and getting control of the Congress back.

Many of the folks here, too many, are similarly clueless regarding the importance of getting this president out of power NOW. So you didn’t get the candidate you wanted, neither did I. Man up already and do what’s right for the greater good of America NOW instead taking your football and going home, giving the election to Ostupid.

Congratulations on your long and happy marriage. Yours is I believe the exception which proves the rule. I don’t know who is the dominant one in your relationship and by dominant i only mean the one who in the end will hold sway after all the discussing is done on matters of great importance.

My wife and I each have areas in which the other dares not tread. She cooks, loves her gardening, doing puzzles (jig saw with which I could not spend 30 seconds before running screaming from the room), painting. I handle all investments, pay the bills, buy the cars (she picks hers out, I do the negotiating and purchase. She is very content to have things as they are as am I.

Like you we have had our arguments, some very intense but there was never a thought of either of us leaving the other. I take very seriously my commitment to her and the children when they were young.

Kids today treat marriage no differently then a casual relationship and most will pitch it at the first sign of trouble or if they become bored.

You are a generation ahead of me and mine is the last one who took marriage as seriously as it was meant to be taken.

Be well and may you have many, many more happy years.

I agree. I am pushing 70 yrs old and came of age in the 1950’s. There was never a doubt who was in charge in a relationship between a man and a woman. It was built in to the culture. Men decided where to live (based on the job he had) women stayed home and raised the kids. Men decided when to buy a home and how much to spend and made all the larger decisions. This didn’t mean women had no say, they did but the final decision was made by the man and it was his responsibility to do so and get it right.

Things worked out just fine, we have been married 47 years.

"More of his fellow Congressmen need to step up to defend this guy. Too many run for shelter when things get rough."

Good luck with that. The ranks of elected politicians is a haven for the most cowardly self aggrandizing, self involved amongst us. The majority of these fools won't say a word before taking a poll first or commissioning a focus group in order to see how it will play out with the people.

What you say is true. My belief is it is important to stop these sorts of things (demands) from gaining traction by stopping it cold at the start.

In a relationship there has to be a dominant partner and it will either be you or her and from my experience women who feel they can dominate their husbands quickly lose respect for him. Most women do not know how to exercise authority and tend to over do in an effort to “prove’ they are in charge and make sure everyone knows it. This is especially true in the work place where women can very often be petty and over bearing.

"The problem with this reasoning. Romney has been irrevocably defined by Obama and his media as an out of touch, uncaring billionaire."

I really don't think any large number of people are buying this. Even though we here feel this campaign is in high gear the majority of Americans are barely paying attention at this point. Even though he is not even close to being the favorite here, there is real support behind Romney and passion to get out and vote in Nov is equally high amongst the Republicans and he is raising a lot of money which will be used when the time is right. This is generally following the convention and right through election day.
