A swimming coach has resigned after he was allegedly caught on camera pulling a schoolgirl from the pool by her hair after she did not swim fast enough. A high school basketball coach at Murrah High School in Jackson, Mississippi has been suspended and has been sued for allegedly whipping players for several different reasons. Marlon Dorsey faced a lawsuit filed Tuesday for the actions against the players. Attorney Lisa Ross filed the lawsuit against Dorsey. A Tennessee middle school football coach said he got fired after he wrote a song that criticized President Obama. Bryan Glover, an assistant coach at Grassland Middle School near Nashville, co-wrote the country music song, “When You’re Holding a Hammer, Everything Looks Like a Nail.” It was co-written by a parent who has a child on the team. The Wizard of Westwood won 10 national titles in a 12-year span, including a remarkable seven consecutive from 1967 through ’73. Wooden’s success is almost unfathomable. Wooden passed away on Friday night at the UCLA Medical Center, just months prior to his 100th birthday on Oct. 14. Wooden was still mentally sharp in his 90s and was spotted at UCLA games and other events.
