This week our country gets a new president, our 45th, Donald J. Trump. Many people spark to Mr. Trump's blunt "If you hit me I hit back twice as hard" style. They find him refreshing. I don't find Donald Trump refreshing. I think he's the most ill-prepared and ill-suited person ever elevated to the office. With that said, I hope he turns out to be as "amazing", "fantastic", "terrific", "awesome", and "really, really, really good" as he claims he will be. I don't root for presidents to fail. I didn't root for George W. Bush to fail or Barack Obama....

Igor Lebedev, a party deputy for the Liberal Democrats in the Duma, the Russian Parliament, has proposed branding the hands of any government official caught taking bribes. Last week it was noticed that WRKO Boston was running Howie Carr reruns 1-5 am instead of Coast to Coast. Apparently they lost the rights to that show to WKOX AM 1200 (which began to run it a few days later, though most of the time they're in Spanish--for now; full switch to conservative talk radio for 1200 happens in April.) Now I look at WRKO's site and it lists "Red Eye" weeknights 1-5 am. If it's what I'm thinking it is, this is the new show (new nationally, at least) hosted by Doug McIntyre of KABC and WABC fame...
