FBI agents arrested nine members of a Christian militia group based in Michigan, who were suspected of plotting to kill a police officer. These groups are everywhere. But a Homeland Security Intelligence report last month said extremist "chatter" is on the rise, which is the biggest increase since before the Oklahoma City bombing. In Minnesota, so-called militia and hate groups are a mixed bag. Investigators say the group called, Hutaree, hoped their spree of violence starting next month would lead to an uprising against the entire U.S. government.
