The Associated Press is reporting that King Charles of Great Britain has an unpleasant surprise waiting for him when his royal entourage conducts its procession to his coronation on Saturday. An anti-monarchy group known as “Republic” will be dressed in bright yellow costumes and they plan to chant “Not My King” as Charles passes by. They claim that more than 1,500 people will join their ranks. And to add a bit more insult to injury, the protest will take place at the feet of a statue of his namesake, King Charles I, who was deposed in 1649 and had his...

Monarch butterflies are back in Pacific Grove for the winter. Sunday, people from all walks of life came to witness the beautiful butterflies. "Pacific Grove calls itself Butterfly Town, USA,” says Natalie Johnston with the Pacific Grove National History Museum. This year is seen as a symbol of perseverance, especially how they were able to rebound from having zero of them back in 2020. Last year, they saw about 13,000 monarchs, and this year the current number sits at 11,171. "For four generations, they had good breeding conditions, and with good breeding conditions, they can produce remarkable number of butterflies,”...

Nazi Mind Control Amidst the subtle cerebral circumvention of the gullible populace, through a multitude of manipulated mediums, lies one of the most diabolical atrocities perpetrated upon a segment of the human race; a form of systematic mind control which has permeated every aspect of society for almost fifty years. To objectively ascertain the following, one may need to re-examine preconceived ideologies relating to the dualistic nature of mankind. . . . . .This exposition is substantiated by declassified U.S. government documents, individuals formerly connected to the U.S. intelligence communities, historical writings, researchers knowledgeable in mind control, publications from mental health...

Could The Time Be Ripe for The Great Monarch? Is He Here Among Us Now? by Sandra Airey I'm a Catholic born in 1947, raised in a family with many devout Catholics, and taught by pre-Vatican II nuns for 12 years. My life has been unusual for more than one reason. I was born the second child to a woman with Rh negative blood and a severe heart defect. I ended up with minimal brain damage ( causing partial seizures affecting awareness ) and connective tissue disease. My mother knowing about the circumstances of my birth was aware that I...

The main cause of the monarch butterfly's decline is the loss of milkweed — its food — in its U.S. breeding grounds, a new study has found. That all but confirms that the spread of genetically modified crops is indirectly killing the monarch.

Citing “national security interests,” President Obama effectively sidestepped Congress by signing an executive order which enables him to send $500 million to fund Muslim terrorists in the West Bank. The executive order, addressed to Secretary of State John Kerry, was quietly signed Friday afternoon, as the media’s full attention was focused upon a royal birth. In the order, President Obama writes, “I hereby certify that it is important to the national security interests of the United States to waive the provisions of section 7040(a) of the Act as carried forward by the CR, in order to provide funds appropriated to...

Is Queen Rania the Next Target of Middle Eastern Violence? Posted by Sasha Brown-Worsham on February 9, 2011 at 1:25 PM Comments (4)| Likes (5) Share 18 Queen Rania of Jordan is undoubtedly an international celebrity. Most of this is due to her marked beauty and taste for fine things. But her lavish lifestyle may soon come to end as Jordan is showing some signs that it could be the next Egypt or Tunisia. Recent revolts, like the ones that took out Tunisia's Zine El Abidine Ben Ali and currently threaten Egypt's President Hosni Mubarak, have been played out on...

Costs Down 7 Percent From 2008-2009LONDON -- Like millions of her subjects, Queen Elizabeth II is going to have to make do and mend - cutting spending and putting off palace repairs as royal finances are squeezed by Britain's budget crisis. Accounts published Monday by Buckingham Palace reveal the total public cost of supporting the monarchy was 38.2 million pounds ($57.8 million) in the year to March 31, the equivalent of 62 pence (94 cents) per person. The total is more than 3 million pounds less than in 2008-2009. Britain's public sector is facing cuts as the government tries to...

Monarch butterflies have fascinated biologists for a long time. A 3,000-mile road trip in even the most comfortable car would prove daunting to many humans, but these beautiful insects can migrate that same distance every year from Canada to a specific grove of fir trees in Mexico each fall. The next generation of monarchs can then travel back to Canada in the spring. Scientists are investigating the tools that these tiny flying creatures use to achieve this feat. One leading monarch researcher has discovered an important reason why the butterflies’ antennae are vital for successful navigation...

Life Magazine fabricated a mythical monarchy in the early sixties by applying polish and airbrushing to John and Jacky Kennedy, elevating them into a Camelot. America couldn’t get enough of the magazine, and rewarded its uncommon “access,” to the JFK White House with financial success. The corporate strategy very successfully built an unprecedented, but mutually beneficial, relationship. This was not the first popularization of an American President, but it was the most successful anointing of an almost-monarch. We all admire true heroes, however, there are many who seem to require more than honored heroes. To satisfy that craving, we create...

There's a report out that The Dear Leader (Hussein Obama) REALLY, REALLY enjoys his new status as Emperor Of The World. Most of us thought that dietary items like arugula were a bit on the pricy (and eccentric) side. Now, however, The Dear Leader has added a new item to our national food lexicon:Wagyu Beef For you Saxon dog serfs out there, we're talking about a type of steak that runs over $100 a pound. In some instances, Wagyu beef can run over $100 a 6-8 ounce serving. You won't see this at your local McDonald's when they unchain you...

Habitat Destruction May Wipe Out Monarch Butterfly MigrationA monarch butterfly gathering nectar from a swamp milkweed flower. (Credit: iStockphoto/Willie Manalo) ScienceDaily (Apr. 5, 2008) — Intense deforestation in Mexico could ruin one of North America’s most celebrated natural wonders — the mysterious 3,000-mile migration of the monarch butterfly. According to a University of Kansas researcher, the astonishing migration may collapse rapidly without urgent action to end devastation of the butterfly’s vital sources of food and shelter. “To lose something like this migration is to diminish all of us,” said Chip Taylor, KU professor of ecology and evolutionary biology. “It’s so...

They may be too unhealthy for regular New Yorkers to eat, but not so for Mayor Michael Bloomberg, apparently. After gaining national media attention for spearheading an almost total ban on trans fats in city restaurants starting last July, Bloomberg was photographed in this month's issue of Wired magazine munching on those very same dangerous fats. The photo, which accompanies a short Q&A about technology and politics, features Bloomberg at his City Hall desk, looking thoughtful and serious. Meanwhile, his right hand is seen almost absent-mindedly pulling a Cheez-It out of a single-serving bag of the crackers. The reader can...

RIYADH, Saudi Arabia - King Abdullah's harsh — and unexpected — attack on the U.S. military presence in Iraq could be a Saudi attempt to signal to Washington its anger over the situation in Iraq and build credibility among fellow Arabs. The kingdom has taken an aggressive leadership role to quiet Mideast troubles, and wanted to show other Arabs it was willing to put their interests above its close ties to the United States. The White House, in a rare public retort Thursday, rejected the king's characterization of U.S. troops in Iraq as an "illegitimate foreign occupation," saying the United...

Two days of a successful bandh called by the Seven Party Alliance (SPA) and Maoists cripple the hill kingdom of Nepal, and a brutal curfew is imposed to stymie what looks like a gathering storm of protest against the monarchy. But a former Nepali diplomat, who has survived all regimes, is confident: "Kathmandu 2006 will never become a Saigon 1975." His reference is to the year when the South Vietnam ruler abdicated power voluntarily — a step that led to the creation of unified, modern Vietnam. What the ex-diplomat ruled out was the possibility of Gyanendra abdicating. This and more....

Norway should stop the monarch being head of the Lutheran Church and cut the link between the state and Christianity dating back centuries to the Viking era, a government-sponsored commission has said. The report on Tuesday recommended that Norway alter its 1814 constitution, which also states that the nation's values are based on those of the Lutheran Church and that half the government ministers must be church members, to reflect a modern multi-faith society. "This would mean the biggest changes in the Church for 400 years," the government's church minister, Trond Giske, told Reuters. The last big change was the...

As muddy holes go, they don't get much more romantic. Beneath four feet of heavy south London clay, archaeologists have uncovered the remains of Henry VII's lost chapel at Greenwich. The site is where he and a host of his Tudor successors - Henry VIII, Mary Tudor and Elizabeth I - worshipped. Click to enlarge The existence of the chapel, part of the Royal Palace of Placentia, a Tudor favourite but pulled down in the 17th century to be replaced by Greenwich Hospital - now the Old Naval College - has long been known from paintings and records. But until...

Some of the sovereign countries who have the monarch as Head of State ‘want out’ THE confusion triggered by the Prince of Wales’s marriage to Camilla Parker Bowles could precipitate a new wave of republicanism across Britain’s former colonies and jeopardise the future monarch’s chances of becoming head of the Commonwealth. As the debate rages over whether Mrs Parker Bowles will become Queen Camilla, the issue has caused deep concern among some of the 15 sovereign countries around the world who still recognise the British monarch as their head of state. Joel Kibazo, spokesman for the Commonwealth Secretariat, which is...

GENEVA (AP) - Saudi King Fahd moved on to the next phase of his summer vacation Wednesday, taking his 12-aircraft entourage from Switzerland to Spain, where he has a home on the Mediterranean coast. Jean-Luc Portier, a member of Geneva airport's management team, said the 81-year-old monarch left with a fleet of 12 large passenger jets in the afternoon. He has been vacationing since May in a residence he owns in Geneva and was headed to his home near the southern Spanish resort of Marbella. For much of Fahd's stay, many of Geneva's five-star hotels were booked solid by...
