Why did the National Republican Congressional Committee Young Gun Program just endorse a RINO in New Jersey?TEA Party conservative Steve Lonegan is fighting RINO unknown Tom MacArthur for the soul of the GOP in New Jersey’s 3rd congressional district.Liberal Republican Mayor Tom MacArthur of Randolph has a lot of money but not a lot of support. And so, like any former insurance company CEO with ties to AIG, he’s trying to buy it by bribing the local GOP county clubs in New Jersey’s third congressional district. MacArthur gave over $25,000 to the Ocean GOP County to buy the powerful organization’s...

Fourth, Remember the Difference Between Republicans and Conservatives. Conservatives look at the endorsements Mitt Romney has garnered from such establishment figures as former President George H.W. Bush and former Florida Governor Jeb Bush, and most importantly from business-as-usual Washington insiders, such as lobbyist Ed Gillespie, and they see advocates of positions they often opposed, not friends of the transformational agenda that won the Tea Party wave election of 2010. Surveying Romney’s record and agenda, and most importantly the people he is likely to bring to Washington to implement his agenda, movement conservatives see little likelihood a Romney administration will differ...

The Republican National Committee will raise and spend in excess of $400 million over the next 2 years. Normally the procedure of picking an RNC Chairman to lead the Republican Party is a closed process. The 168 members of the RNC vote to choose the new chairman in early January 2011. On December 1st FreedomWorks was given unique involvement in the chairman selection process. For the first time in history Americans were involved in the process of vetting candidates for the position. Tea Party organizers and real Americans could view and ask questions while watching online. FreedomWorks and the Republican...

Conservative Recount Alert! — Etheridge Asks for Recount by renee on November 4, 2010 in Campaign Announcements Dear Supporters, http://www.reneeforcongress.com/landing-pages/help-our-recount-effort Election night, after the ten counties in my district had reported their votes, I led Bob Etheridge by 2,100 votes. (That number is crucial because under North Carolina law Congressman Etheridge is not entitled to an ‘automatic recount’ if he trails by more than 1% – or 1,888 votes.) Then, yesterday afternoon – unexpectedly – the vote totals changed. The State Board of Elections reported my lead had dropped to 1,600 votes. Two hours later Bob Etheridge announced he intended...

A taste of the RNC logic: National Republican Party fundraisers aren't putting much stock in Joe Walsh's campaign to unseat incumbent Democratic U.S. Rep. Melissa Bean in the suburban 8th District [Illinois], a spokesman said Thursday. ..."We're really focused on the seats where we see the clearest paths to victory," [National Republican Congressional Committee spokesman Tom] Erickson said. "It's no secret these are the most competitive (races)." The RNC will find a reason at every turn to favor their candidate over a Tea-Party candidate. To whom should they be listening - their entrenched bureaucracy or the voters? We know what...

Words mean things. Stand with those who stand on PRINCIPLE, whether any particular battle is won or lost. Put your money where your mouth is, etc. If you're in a position to make a MODEST contribution to National Republican Congressional Committee (NOT the RNC!) as a tangible thank-you for standing up for you, please do so. (Congressional Republicans are the most accountable, with elections every two years.) (Save back some for individual Senator contributions. I commend to you the Senators from OK and AL, for starters). Not a dime for the RNC, however until they mend their ways. If you...

Fort Bend County – Monday’s debate between District 22’s U.S. Representative Nick Lampson and his Republican challenger Pete Olson lasted a little over an hour. From the moment it started it was certainly charged. The debate was their one and only meeting on the campaign trail, and it was peppered with attacks and wise cracks. Even with the spirited debate, there is still a question as to which direction the district will fall. It is Tom Delay's old seat, and he gave up under a cloud of legal problems and ethical questions. After Delay resigned, election laws kept Republicans off...

Let's see if things start to get back to normal now. Not much of a scheduel at all at the GOP site. I am sure they are put things in line as fast as they can.

The Republican National Convention's entire Monday night program, including an address by President Bush, apparently will be canceled as national attention focuses on Hurricane Gustav, House Minority Leader John Boehner said today. "It is doubtful that there will be any kind of program tomorrow night" when the four-day convention was scheduled to commence, he told reporters. "The convention is going to be handled on a day-to-day basis." Boehner, of Ohio, the top Republican in the House, said the convention is concerned about potential victims of the storm, "and the best way we honor that is to help Americans who are...
