The Texas governor made his remarks while picking up an award from the Federal Law Enforcement Foundation. This is not conservatism. Mike Huckabee is a pro-life, pro-family values liberal. He is soft on illegal immigration and he is enthusiastic about passing laws that control the way people live their lives (e.g, laws against smoking, junk food, etc.).
