Idaho trip was great but I have a personal safety question

Idaho was great! It is so beautiful there the scenery looks like a painting.

The people were great. The only people who were rude were from California, Oregon, Washington and Canada. Idaho residents were uncommonly courteous and friendly.

My daughter and I were by ourselves but we felt very safe everywhere we went and slept well for being away from home. We actually felt safer in a strange place than we did at home. Never heard one siren in a whole week.

We were mostly passing through small towns that had an openly God oriented atmosphere. Lots of pro life advertising on billboards. Lots of churches even in small towns. When we got back to California we immediately noticed how many abortion billboards(Planned Parenthood)there were.

The difference between Idaho and California was truly stunning. We are surrounded by evil here. It is almost palpable, even in the small or rural towns.

In Idaho there are free bibles available everywhere.

In California, they are trying to make Christianity illegal. California really is a Godless hellhole.

So move to Idaho. You’ll love the winters!

We don’t look like supermodels.

On the other hand, we don’t look like People of WalMart either.

Maybe because we were traveling alone.

Who knows?

“I live 15 minutes from north Idaho in Washington. The price difference for alcohol is stunning.”

Which state is cheaper...it’s crucial.

The Mormon Crickets were the worst! I had never seen anything like that before! We ran into a swarm of them and my daughter told me to drive extra careful because if we got stuck in the midst of the swarm she was planning to stab me. 😵

Nope...go north....when I fish in Smith lake, north of Bonners Ferry, I have to kick them bake in the water from trying to get me to take them.

what part of Ca are you from, and where in Idaho did you visit? I moved from The Stockton area 7 years ago.

“Since he was there with his wife and daughter why did he take a picture of my daughter and follow her so closely for a while?”

My paranoid contribution: maybe his “wife and daughter” were just cover for him, since you would be less suspicious of a family group than of a man by himself.

Sheer paranoia on my part, though...

Same experience in southern Louisiana a few years back. Lots of Canadians. I’m a fairly big 6 footer but the Canadian men were REALly big! Nice people and probably the Acadian heritage thing. Americana.

“This was in the Winter of 1988.”

Answer to your question “where all the liberals who control Canada are located?”

We are from the SF Bay Area and went to Moscow to look at the school and check out the surrounding area.

My daughter fell in love with the school and the area.

She didn’t want to come back to California.

Hey, paranoia saves lives!

Situational awareness is a good thing.

I have never been around many Cajuns but two left a great impression on me.

It was the Summer of 1964. I was in high school and looking for a job. The state employment agency did not have anything except a one day job with two movers.

They were Cajuns and all 3 of us worked hard all day. They bought me lunch. When we were finished, one of them hauled out his wallet and paid me the $20 I was promised. He paused just a second then handed me another one.

I had already begun to like them but the double pay didn’t hurt.
