The Lost Ship in the Desert: Sonora Desert
Desert Sun ^ | between 1996 and 2022 | Bob Difley

How could a ship come to rest on desert sands so far from salt water? One explanation holds that an exceptionally large tide from the Gulf of California may have collided with an exceptionally heavy runoff from the Colorado River at the delta, producing a flood which broke through the land barrier to the Salton Sea. The cresting waters could have carried a ship over the natural dam and down into the Salton Sea basin. The flood would have then retreated, leaving the vessel stranded.

This is the presentation I did at the Mousley Museum of Natural History in Yucaipa Ca. this year. This is the first presentation I have ever done, and without notes... I also would like to apologize for the coughing, I'll bring water next time. So please understand that everything may not be absolutely spot on, I had to recall from an old used brain (lol), but I assure you the next one will be much more accurate.

This is the one that showed up in the YT recommended list. I didn't watch the whole thing, because of the drama queen presentation and the teaspoon of content in a pitcher of nothing. Sounds like the guy was a confabulist, at best.
The story of Charley Clusker's search for the Lost Ship of the Desert.

It could be a leftover Hollywood movie set.

They were bad about leaving stuff when they finished shooting back in the early days of film....
