For those who don't want either Romney or Perry, even if you'd never vote for either.
Ah Jim, from a Texan, Perry will not raise taxes or create bigger government. Quite the opposite.
Sounds purrfect.
“Why should we be forced to answer”
There is no reason to force an answer, which is why you weren’t forced.
“especially when neither of these candidates are particularly attractive? “
Okay, do you like George Washington better, or Adolph Hitler? Gee, I want to ask questions that folks want to answer. Except... what good are answers to obvious questions?
“if you really want to talk about the future, we need to start having a conversation about how to move society away from the Progressive...”
I totally agree. Today, though, I just wanted narrow comments on the Mitt/Rick thing. I was just curious. I would apologize for the intrusion, but this is a message board & I labeled my thread as “vanity” so you could have skipped on by if that was what you wanted.
Right?
Would write in “Sarah Louise Palin”.
Perry
re your post #234......well said. thank you. I share your sentiments.
Dead democrats vote.
“Dead democrats vote.”
Early and often.
Perry. A write-in or staying home ensures an 0bama win and I’m not sure what would be left of this country if he were reelected.
“Never heard of a cat with HIV.”
It is a similar, not identical, species specific disease:

Thanks Rintense. I’m glad we agree on this one. And if that has all been Perry, then we certainly do.
I concur, BUT Perry would have to do a sincere mea culpa on his illegal pandering, vow to NEVER support amnesty(OR “comprehensive immigration reform!), and I’d want to hear him say that he won’t abuse Executive Orders as he did in the Gardasil case.
She was one obnoxious person.
She covered a GOP convention in Ft. Worth and visited with several of us during a break. She was dirty and smelled bad!
Those who say that they would write in Palin or anyone else (or stay home) are idiots or fools. Your actions would be a vote for Obama.
For all intents and purposes, the Trans-Texas Corridor died long before Perry cradled it’s snake-like head and bid it a teary farewell after it had already stopped writhing.
Was it that he changed his mind, because of his constituency, or because he just didn’t see any point of standing out in a field on someone else’s property with a shovel starting to build the project on his own.
Look, if your infrastructure needs to be upgraded, and it very well could as you say, then start upgrading present highways. Do it with gas taxes and vehicle license fees. Do it with budget dollars.
Don’t start a new level of taxation on people who deserve to be able to travel freely in this nation. They pay their gas taxes. They pay their license fees. Give them what they paid for.
The idea of having to pass five Checkpoint Charlies on your way to grandmas house, leaves me cold.
Try driving across mid-Florida sometime. We drove from the West side of the state to the Atlantic one day. There were four or five toll booths in each direction. Do you want to start having to pay five bucks to go to church, or more to travel to relatives homes?
Don’t buy off on this. It never ends. The Golden Gate Bridge was paid off decades ago. Since then it has become a revenue source for the city, and will NEVER be toll free.
P.S.
Sorry. You asked where I live.
I live in the Republic of Panama.
Seriously? Well gee, Obama gave good speeches too. How's that working out for ya?
If you've learned nothing else from Obama you should know by now that he lies in his speeches! You think he's the only politician to do that? Look at what Perry's actually done (and tried to do) then make up your mind.
I was not in any way unfair to you.
I am ridiculing the question you are posing, and that is in every way the response it merits.
So how would you intend to murder your wife and daughter?
My cat.
That TTC business had way too many facets that Texans couldn't swallow but, if it had been presented on a much smaller scale, say, a couple of major projects like I35 or I69, it might of had more support. Instead, they were shooting for the whole enchilada.
We still have toll roads being built here and there, and the greenies are still looking to eliminate cars/trucks all together.
I think we need to somehow balance our business/population growth with what this state can sustain and we'll be fine.
Perry vs Barry 2012 (’cause we're Fed Up!)
