President Trump on Wednesday will order the State Department to begin moving the U.S. Embassy in Israel to Jerusalem from Tel Aviv, senior administration officials said, a move that fulfills a campaign promise made to religious conservatives but one that could inflame tensions across the Middle East.
In his announcement, Trump will say that the U.S. government recognizes Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. One official described it as an "honest" acknowledgement of a "seven-decade old fact."
“While President Trump recognizes that the status of Jerusalem is a highly sensitive issue, he does not think it will be resolved by ignoring the simple truth that Jerusalem is home to Israel’s legislature, its Supreme Court, the prime minister and is such the capital of Israel,” one official said.
The U.S. would be the first country to move its embassy to Jerusalem, which is claimed by both Israelis and Palestinians. Other countries who have diplomatic relations with Israel keep their embassies in Tel Aviv.

Except they may not want him to do this right now. That is the reason for the long wait. It’s a way of doing it but not doing it, to try to make everybody happy (except the “Palestinians,” who would be unhappy with the mere recognition that Jerusalem is the capital).

Israel and Jerusalem go together like ducks in a lake as they were meant for each other.
This is pro-Israel policy I support 100 percent.
Of course it carries risks, but its the right thing to do.
Can we cut off all Federal funding for any university that joins the BDS Movement while we’re at it?

Most Christians, Jews and Israel supporters will love it. It will shore up and strengthen President’s Trump religious base. It will be hard for even Leftist that are religious to not like this move.
Most Leftist, Atheists and Palestine supporters will hate it. Expect the usual suspects here. Most of the media, Academia and Hollywood will hate this move.
The real interesting move here is that it will split off the Globalists in two camps.
The Republican congress will most likely pass it dues to mid term elections being less than a year away.
This is a Masterful move by President Trump. Je will go down in history for thousands of years with this move alone.

Recognizing Jerusalem as the Capital of Israel is another Christmas gift to Christans and Jews around the world. It will be controversial, but certainly a BIBLICAL MOVE!
Saying Merry Christmas vs. Happy Holidays, and putting God back in the White House is certainly another gift.
Since President Trump has been elected last year the U.S. economy has grown over 5 Trillion dollars.

I was in Jerusalem a few years ago with a tour group.
I remember being on our tour bus as it passed from the Pali side to the Jewish side.
The Pali side looked worse than the slums of Detroit. Trash, filth, graffiti, run-down buildings everywhere etc.; not to mention gross-looking gangs of ferals yelling at us and giving the bus “the finger” as we passed by. Then, crossing into the Jewish side, I saw modern buildings, clean streets, no graffiti, no gangs etc. It was a night vs day comparison in just a matter of a few feet of real estate. IMHO, IF it weren’t for the Jews, the whole place would be totally trashed out in no time at all.
