If he does not win, I am sure Trump has a place for someone like him.

Hey all, very long couple of days but this is good to see Kobach still has the lead.

Kobach supported by Trump? How does it look for November...

The only thing I could find is what FReeper, Trump20162020, displayed in post #33 in this thread.

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3677465/posts?page=33#33

It should look pretty good for Kobach or Colyer because the dem candidate rates poorly on abortion and taxes. I read she did support Kobach's voter ID but Kobach should win on that issue because he is the one who originally pushed it.

Greg Orman is running again as an Independent (ran against Pat Roberts with similar strategy in the last senate race). Orman is no Independent as it was revealed in the last race he is a liberal democrat. He is already running the "sick of dems and repubs" ads.

Kobach or Colyer will have to expose Orman as just another liberal democrat and hopefully that will backfire on the dems and help split the dem vote.

Our local medias will probably continue their Kobach bashing so that is not new. It will be their attempt to keep it close, along with Orman trying to fool Republicans and conservatives.

Kobach has caught Trumps eye and I want Trumps plans to succeed. Trump’s tweet of support for Koback helped me make my decision. Trump’s got 6 more years and we need to maximize those to the fullest.

Kobach looks better now and I wont mind having a ‘lil Trump running things in Kansas for a while.

So true!!!

The NRA always endorses the incumbent if they have a high rating on guns.

Thank you, I wondered about that question myself.

Yes they do and people need to understand the same. The failure to get an NRA endorsement doesn’t mean candidates are ant-second amendment, expecially in fyover country. The NRA will only endorse one candidate per contest. An incumbent with a demonstrated pro-NRA record will always be favored over a challenger in the endorsement process.

I heard that Johnson County, a suburb of KCMO was late getting their votes in.

Kris Kobach joined the immigration fight back during the Prop 187 election in 1994. He’s never stopped. And unlike Dubya, Kobach chose to be on the side of Americans.

Kris Kobach, whose mentor is Samuel P. Huntington.

Samuel P. Huntington argued that future wars would be fought not between countries, but between cultures, and that Islamic extremism would become the biggest threat to world peace.

Huntington is the author of the essay, then book, ‘Clash of Civilizations’, the realist answer to Francis Fukuyama’s goofy, utopian ‘End of History’ that addled the brains of neocons and GW Bush.

Wasn’t Kobach “bigly” involved in the whole voter fraud issue nationwide, and heading a committee to investigate? I haven’t heard anything about that effort in months — maybe a year.

Yes, he was. I thought something was supposed to be out about it already. Maybe they are holding the report and dropping the info, when all the other bad info about the dems, drops.

You're thinking of the Presidential Advisory Commission on Election Integrity. It produced nothing and was disbanded last January.

Depends on which side you're on. Kobach wants to repeat the Brownback tax cuts which caused a lot of discontent due to the budget deficits and which cost the conservatives control of the legislature two years ago. If Kobach runs on tax cuts he's going to have to be clear on his spending cuts as well. He can probably sell a clear plan on cuts but he has to have the plan first.

Greg Orman is running again as an Independent (ran against Pat Roberts with similar strategy in the last senate race). Orman is no Independent as it was revealed in the last race he is a liberal democrat. He is already running the "sick of dems and repubs" ads.

The only reason Orman did so well against Roberts is that the Democrat basically withdrew from the race and it was Roberts vs. Orman, head to head. That's not going to happen this time so I'm not sure just who Orman will be appealing to. Kelly is no raving liberal Democrat. She's got a 14 year track record in the legislature. So what is Orman going to do? Run to the left of her? The populist vote in Kansas isn't that big and not given to protest votes. That could become clear if you see the Welder supporters unite behind Davids against Yoder. Run to the right of her? Why wouldn't people then go with Kobach? It'll be interesting if Orman comes up with something other than "I'm not a Democrat or Republican."

He is also the author of Who Are We--The Challenges to America's National Identity that I have at this moment in my hands. It is a great analysis of the American Identity and how it came about. And the challenges we now face as non-Hispanic whites decline in numbers and eventually, influence. If whites develop their own identity in response to blacks and Hispanics identifying themselves based on race or ethnicity, the fabric of the society starts to unravel.

The book was written in 2004. I wonder what Professor Huntington would say now about the Balkanization of America along cultural, racial, ethnic, and linguistic lines? The Democrats with their exploitation of identity/tribal politics are playing with fire.

Ugh, It also depends if you believe in the local media's spin of the whole Brownback tax cuts issue or not. Governor Brownback did get the tax cuts through but when it came to cutting spending and government, our local medias went nuts trotting victim after victim. Brownback caved to the media pressure and the necessary spending cuts to go along with the tax cuts, did not happen.

This was a recipe for disaster as it busted the budget out of balance. Then the local medias, dems, and RINO's came out and said "see, Brownback's tax cuts are a failure". Even though they were partly at fault for stopping the necessary spending cuts to go along with the tax cuts.

What further makes the problems worse is we have corrupt judges who rule the legislature is not spending enough on school funding. That is sole responsibility of the Kansas legislature and I've told my reps they should tell these judges where they can stick their rulings. But the legislature caves to these corrupt judges and Kansas budget bustage continues. It's almost like these people are taking a page out of the Cloward-Piven strategy for the State of Kansas.

The media's constant bashing of the failure of the Brownback tax cuts cost us many good conservative reps in our legislature. The next legislature continue the Cloward-Piven strategy by making our taxes out of site. The local medias are really the enemy of the good people of Kansas and I hope more wake up to this fact.

The only reason Orman did so well against Roberts is that the Democrat basically withdrew from the race and it was Roberts vs. Orman, head to head. Kelly is not a raving liberal???? I posted earlier in this thread her terrible ratings from Kansans for Life and The Kansas Taxpayer Network so I don't know where you get that.

“And the challenges we now face as non-Hispanic whites decline in numbers and eventually, influence.”

From what I’ve seen as it has occurred in California... the country ends. There will be no common culture left, just the squabbling over power by the various tribes, some distinctly alien, each trying to enforce their values. In Dreamy, Let’s Make Believe Land this all works.

Wellll ... isn’t that special. Produced nothing. Disbanded. No problems with election integrity. Discouraging.

Not necessarily, it sounds like it was ended because many democrat states would not turn over their voter rolls for examination and there were other legal obstacles where the President did not want to spend a ton of taxpayer money on. It was disbanded but all the info was moved to Homeland Security for possible further action in the future. So it may not be a done deal after all.
