QUESTION: Will the Republicans hold the House? If yes, by how many seats?

I want so badly for POTUS to have a majority in the House and Senate in November. I believe we’ll hold both, but I’m a little nervous about the House. Poll watchers, how are we looking? I will be praying!

The odds of holding the House are long. 44 GOP incumbents have retired. The GOP’s only hope is to nationalize the election. Reps must embrace the Trump agenda.

I like the way you make predictions. Now how about those winning lottery numbers? :-)

A two-seat margin won't be enough to protect against state prosecutors who will indict Republican Congressmen until Democrats retake the House.

They would only need three to resign for Democrats to force a caucus vote before special elections could be called to replace the vacant seats.

This would give Democrats a few months to wreak havoc before Republicans hopefully refill the seats.

That’s how my father taught me...that and always us a well seasoned cast iron frying pan......

I have a set of SS pans.pot with the aluminum discs for better heat distribution but more and more I use the cast Iron set despite it’s unwieldy weight. It cooks better than anything else out there! My inherited father’s cast Iron pan is over 100 years old and still cooking great. Additionally it is easy to clean and care for....just wipe it out and re-oil!

I think we will pick up a net of 5 to 6 seats. About 10 to 12 will be exchanged. Much better in the Senate. Shot at super majority. One or 2 net Governor gain. I am liking our chances in PA.

“Nobody knows.”

As always it depends on turnout.

Right now both Trump and Obama are working to GOTV. In this first head to head I think Trump wins against the discredited Usurper.

Obama last event was attended by ~ 750 people!!! Laughable to my mind. The novelty of dark melanoma coupled with 8 years of failed policies has killed off popular draw...

Democrat enthusiasm is high.

Did you see the 800 people who turned up to hear Obama speak? Pretty sure they had an 'organizer' letting the crowd know when they were suppose to clap. It was 'jeb like'...

Democrat enthusiasm is high.

Democrats and leftists and media have been in a froth for two years over Donald Trump. That’s all we hear about day after day. Every day is a new Trump outrage. But the noise is made by a visible few. There are many more who won’t vote because they are better off than they were 2 years ago and they know what Hillary would have been like. So no, they won’t get their majority in either house.

I want to hear CNN’s Wolfie Blitzer repeat those famous words from the 2010 election: The Democrats took a shellacking.

The 2010 shellacking was a repudiation of Obamacare that the Dems pushed through. That was about the only major accomplishment of Obama in his first 2 years. He did have the massive bailout bills to keep the economy afloat.

The 2018 election has apresident who in 2 years has made a massive turnaround in the overall economy. It has been said that voters vote with their pocketbooks. The massive tax cuts should help.

A big problem is the indoctrination of young people into thinking socialism is the answer to the economy and capitalism is some great evil. Of course, most of them them couldn’t even define ‘socialism’ or ‘capitalism’. Those are the same ones who also seem to buy into the anti-Trump hatred.

Everytime Obama opens his yap, more Republicans are motivated to go to the polls and vote GOP.

Sabato is a RAT pollster, so he may be overly optimistic regarding his party’s prospects.

Problem in WV is how Citizen United groups have managed to frame the election in terms of losing healthcare coverage, period.

For people not in a UMWA health plan, things can get dreary indeed. A family friend of ours had one member needing additional surgery after emergency surgery which the insurance company would only authorize if the person’s PCP — 120 miles away — saw this patient first to recommend a referral.

How’s that for health care in these United States!

UMWA health plans which covered many people in WV have many people convinced health care is free. Now, it’s true miners tend to develop COPD and “black lung.” I have little problem with miners maintaining doctors and other specialists to keep them healthy as long as is possible.

Having said that, the mining companies have done their daggumnist to poison the well, by stacking the deck against miners suffering from “black lung.” A scandal emerged several years back where a doctor at Johns Hopkins got paid to say miners didn’t have the disease. That’s not right.

But neither are miners’ families running to the doctor for every little hangnail, because health care is free. I’ve seen and heard stories like this too often to not believe them. In my view, the whole notion of health care in WV has gotten skewed because, frankly, people don’t want to give up free stuff.

All of this is a long way of saying “Two-faced Joe” has tapped into the traditional Democrat vibe of spending other people’s money.

Same song, different verse.
