It all comes down to abortion. There are people who can compromise their conscience to acquiesce to the wholesale killing of pre born human life. Such people are capable of any moral compromise. Then there are people who will not acquiesce to such killing. They have real moral values. The first group can never be trusted in any matter of importance. The second group wisely has as little to do with the first group as possible. The division is real and cannot be bridged. All else follows.

But I have to say that there is some truth to this particular column.With cable news 24/7 passing off their horseshoe desk opinion commentary geared to creating outrage as news, many watching it have adopted the narratives and heatedly recite chapter and verse until the next outrage has been produced by cable news that they can latch on to. Dems are particularly good at hurling the buzzwords “racist, cruel, ignorant”, etc in their arguments.
