...It’s a complicated question, one that touches on the film’s unorthodox funding methods, its faith-based marketing, and its blend of traditional filmmaking with messaging that relentlessly tells its fans that the mere act of paying to see it is a virtuous and valorous act....
. . Variety’s Owen Gleiberman described it as a “solid thriller,” emphasizing that the film’s base appeal works even without the huge amounts of baggage that have been attached to it by its supporters and star... .
. AMC was fielding a variety of rumors, including accusations of canceling showings, sabotaging sound systems, and even screwing with the A/C in its theaters, in order to make viewing the movie an uncomfortable experience, as part of a narrative that someone was trying to “stop” people from seeing the film.

Forgive me if that wasn’t directed at me.

Dude
It doesn’t work anymore.
Look which side of the child sex slave you are defending.
You are like my friends dog who hides his head in the bush thinking no one can see or smell the turd .
You’re forgiven. ;>)
My family has gone to two movies in the last decade: The Jesus Revolution and The Sound of Freedom.
Look which side of the child sex slave trade expose you are defending.
swank!
The CEO of Angel says you’re wrong.
And there you go with your LIES again. I have defended NO ONE.
So since you need to go to LIES then we know you know you’re wrong.
LIAR
Movie theaters do not have reserved seating like baseball or football stadiums do.
You purchase a ticket, walk into the theater and sit wherever you want.
BWAHAHAHAHA
Now we know you know you’re full of crap.
Lies and insults is all you got.
So we all know to ignore you completely.
Actually most theaters now have reserved seating. Part of the whole deluxe dinner theater conversion.
What if I want to donate anonymously to an “generic” person/persons who would like to see the movie but cannot afford his/her own ticket?
Not so much as a single reference to Operation Underground Railroad (the anti-trafficking organization Ballard founded) or any other way for people to take meaningful action. So that was a huge disappointment for my wife and I.
For those interested, here are some other groups you can check out to support or get involved with:
Rescue America (Specializes in low-risk "Exits" - picking up trafficked victims who have enough freedom of movement to walk out a door, and gets them to safe houses for rehabilitation.)
Saved in America (Vets/special ops types who are spending their retirement hunting down and rescuing children)
HER Campaign (specializing in safe houses/rehab)
A21 (secular group focusing more on preventation and education.)
I also know of some foreign groups doing good work providing care and rescuing victims, if anyone is interested reply or message me.
Okay, if that is true why is that the two times I purchased tickets for Sound of Freedom, in different theatres, different chains, in different cities, both showed me a seating chart and told me to pick my seat?
Every theater in my area now has reserved seats. I buy the day before and choose my seats. It’s great. I walk in 2 minutes before the show starts and my seats are waiting for me. And it’s also $15/ticket.
Then you need a way to get it to him. I’m sure somebody could setup some sort of clearing house on social media or something. The whole “pay it forward” idea runs into a challenge at distributing.
Thank you for your input and efforts.
This is probably it. It is probably people buying through the Buy It Forward program but there not being that many people on the other end who want to see the movie but truly really can’t afford a ticket.
This might have worked out better if it were not summer and college and high school students talked among each about how there is a free movie out there to see.
