"This disgusting smear campaign is a violation of federal law and is being criminally investigated by the U.S. Capitol Police," he said. "I am confident that they will quickly identify and pursue charges against the perpetrators responsible for this crime." A crash involving at least two vehicles on the Garden State Parkway on Monday left a car pinned against the center barrier nearly perpendicular to the road. No one was seriously hurt in in the crash, which took place on the southbound side near milepost Exit 82 in Toms River, State Police said. Authorities responding to a report of a man struck by a train Friday morning discovered a backpack containing a “suspicious device,” police said. The man is believed to have jumped in front of a oncoming A train around 6:45 a.m. inside the 80th St station near Liberty Avenue in Ozone Park, police said.
