just hanging out
Just watching from the sidelines right now..
I was out to dinner.
Better than being out to lunch, eh.
one thing to think about; all of these arrests by the new investigation team that seem to be going nowhere may have a very subtle purpose, in that joran knows these are all a connection to himself, and that if they hold any knowledge or were spoken to about natalee's disappearance in any way, they may spill the beans, or drop enough of them to provide a valuable clue...the noose is drawing in and all of this may have the intent of letting him twist slowly, slowly in the wind, as we once heard in another investigation far, far away...and whatever crimes paulus has done in guilty action, he also must feel the tightening around himself...buy deodorant stock; the sweat could cause a run
I have had the belief that since January? when PVDS sued
there seemed to be a renewed interest in the case by KJ.
If a June trial, as mentioned by Koch is going to take place, now is when KJ would have to have final statements from these arrested for a trial. IIRC the decision on PVDS amount was delayed until the end of June, so it would seem to be now or never for a trial.
you have mail

I would like to think you are right about this, but the way I see it these people are being arrested and now considered suspects because you are less likely to be convicted of anything under these circumstances. If you are a witness, it is against the law to lie. If you are a suspect you can lie all you want. Now that these people have been identified as suspects they are no longer expected to tell the truth.
I'm not being sarcastic, that is how the system was explained by Arlene Schipper.
Ping to 1528.
Thanks to Imaketypos.
On 1-23 Amigoe.com reported:
ARUBA After the Holloway-case is closed, Prime Minister Nelson Oduber (MEP) wants a thorough investigation be conducted on the course of everything that had to do with the investigation on the disappeared American teenager, especially the begin phase. He thinks that mistakes were made especially in this phase. I have already spoken with the Court president, Louis de Lannooy and with former judge Bob Wit.
you have a very intriguing point in an investigation that wants no resolution but dissolvement from the prior team, and down the road it may be demonstrated as totally accurate...i have to think the new investigators really want to solve this, since they see now that it is not going away, and can only fester, and therefore there are several good reasons why these arrests could help change the course of things and break the case open, just as a civil suit also might...at some point, just like in the Godfather, you cut your losses so that business can continue as usual...none of these players are important enough to lose millions over...but don't expect an arrest, expect them to be a suicide like Pitbull. At least we'll know they did it.
I hope you are right. I think an investigation of Jan Van Der Straaten is where they should start. He was in charge at the beginning and he was the first in LE to allude to the fact that Natalee may not be alive. He needs to be investigated. imo
he was the first in LE to allude to the fact that Natalee may not be alive.
Do you mean like this statement?
On 6-11 STRAATEN was asked by a DUTCH journalist if he had any hopes for a positive outcome? STRAATEN replied, You always have to be hopeful, but I dont believe anymore that we will find Natalee alive. When asked why not, STRAATEN replied, Because I know the details of the investigation and you don't!
Yep. That's what I was referring to. Van Der Straaten knows.
He became even more obvious when asked about the copy of the 'confession' that Beth obtained. He kept saying "I do not recognize it." Not.."That didn't come from here" or "I've never seen it before." It has been said that the 'confession' was obtained after the legal number of hours for questioning had expired that day. Therefore, it can not be 'recognized'. Van Der Straaten knows.
Could not find the confession one right off, but did find this.
On 10-4 JUG told CNN, Nancy, what happened -- well, I think it was probably about 30 days after, or so, maybe the 1st of July or something. I had a meeting with Van Der Straaten, who was the police chief in charge at that time. And I went in and sat down with him and told him and Officer Sambo, who was going to take over for Van Der Straaten. He was there, too. You know, I asked a question about, I understand that there was a statement made by Joran, where he talks about what he had done to Natalee and he described in very graphic detail, like, the stitching and embroidery and everything on Natalee`s underwear. And he goes, Oh, no, no, no. Absolutely not. Absolutely not. Well, little did he know I had just read the statements where Joran describes that to the "T," you know, two days before. But of course, I didn't tell him that. But that`s just when I started to think something`s wrong here.

Lying is a way of life in Aruba. That includes Arlene.
>>>Hellooooooo!! Where are y'all????<<<
Waiting for your next Great Rant! ;)
Despite media attention on an issue blown out of proportion
They still don't get it. Do they really think this is just going to go away?
