While published reports confirm that Capitol Police have been contacted and are addressing security concerns of lawmakers and the incidents of vandalism, the involvement of federal agencies has not been publicly disclosed, nor will it likely be on any official level. The reason, according to this source, is that high-level discussions between top lawmakers and agency heads are “exploring the application of the Patriot Act against any right-wing individual or group that poses a danger to government operations.” He added that “threat assessments and security measures for public assemblies at the Capitol, specifically focusing on conservative groups are being re-evaluated at the request of the White House and Democratic lawmakers.”....

Have you ever considered that it might be lone nuts on both sides who are doing this because the country has been whipped up into such a frenzy, and not any organized conspiracy?
You know, in the 1960s there were armed political gangs that roamed the country on both the left and right of the spectrum and the government not only was not sponsoring them, but actively used COINTELPRO to brake up the groups on both sides of the spectrums.
I’m a Southerner. I learn Reconstruction history. A time when armed gangs roamed every state of the South and where a governor’s election in Arkansas ended up in urban warfare in Little Rock. Also not a government plot.

I think that small bits and pieces of the gov't have the ability to be ruthlessly efficient, if they so choose. Think DEA, FBI, the military ...small unit level, not as organizations.
However, you're absolutely right that as a whole (and that's what we're talking about here), the government and its attendant bureaucracy is a stumbling, ineffective giant.
People like to think of it as sort of a cross between "Mission Impossible" and "The X Files"..... groups of ruthless, all-knowing and well-informed men, immaculately dressed in black suits or in starched white shirts with the sleeves rolled up, sitting around smoking cigarettes and nefariously plotting to take over the world. Usually in 72 hours or less.
Reality? We're talking more along the lines of Colonel Klink and Sgt. Shultz, but with better polished dialog, and more scripted.

Now as for the thing about insurance. I actually don’t expect the Supreme Court to uphold it. Neither do most states that have passed the laws to force a constitutional challenge.
the riots are on the verge of beginning right now...the delicate part is, when does the left hit back at the borderline riots now (which they will no doubt exaggerate, or even fund through shady methods), and how hard does the left hit back. That to me is the essence of Reichstag: an exaggerated response to a (perhaps concocted) violent event that furthers the goals of the state.
Now...would a nationwide suspension of civil liberties or confiscation work? No, it would not, about that there is no disagreement. That would erupt in full-blown rioting and widespread disobedience. But who wants to go through that?
The point being: when the left is in power, it is FAR FROM UNREASONABLE that they will concoct threats from “right wing hate groups” in order to try to suppress legitimate conservative dissent and activism. Anyone who doesn’t believe that THAT is possible and likely, is just naive. Maybe it is not as extreme as the historic Reichstag, but the dynamic and strategy is exactly the same.....it’s all in Alinsky by the way.

That would be a tipping point. Put those people together,essentially making martyrs(some in name some sadly in reality).
That would organize people more than they are now so i don’t think they would do that. More likely put you in the wrong part of prison where you can meet with an accident.
The difference is liberalism is a mental disorder and those people are nuts. We, on the other hand are perfectly sane and more attuned to what is going on with this regime. Did you follow the so called spitting incident by the Tea Party people in D.C. on March 23rd? Please read a few threads here and watch the videos.
