Left convinced Americans will not fight for 2nd Amendment rights

Once cowed at the thought of provoking 2nd Amendment supporters, leftists will soon attempt to ban “assault weapons” (and much more) as legislation offered by Diane Feinstein makes its way to the Senate floor. It seems that DC liberals have finally become convinced that American gun owners are too cowardly, too lazy or too dependent upon the financial "generosity" of Big Brother to fight for their 2nd Amendment rights.

During the past 4 years, the gun banning left have watched as American buyers broke sales records in the purchase of semi-automatic rifles. Opting for these and other powerful, efficient weapons it is estimated that some 100 million private citizens are now in possession of over 300 million firearms. And these numbers continue to grow with each passing month.

Yet it’s against this backdrop of America’s determination to assert the fundamental permanence of 2nd Amendment guarantees that Diane Feinstein, Michael Bloomberg, Barack Obama and others will choose to implement gun bans, demand the federal registration of...

“I agree, but with one concern. I think we’re going to see a media blitz unlike anything we’ve ever seen. And if another large shooting occurs, . . . well . . it’s over.”

The Left would instigate another massacre as an easy way to get what they want.

I’ve been thinking Chicago may be where the martial law starts. Rahm will cooperate with Obama. The Vice Lords 50,000+ versus the citizens. It won’t take long to take over the city and spread out from there. It will be a bloodbath. Wish I could convince my sister, brother and 2 nieces to leave.

I live in coastal Maine, WAY north of Augusta....Hancock County.

The Portland area of Maine is moonbat central. The police chief in Portland, and those that came before him, are hostile towards the second amendment.

Here in the northern half of Maine, people are armed to the teeth and I can’t see them giving up their firearms under any circumstances. I know some of the cops in these parts and while I can’t speak for all of them, I believe large numbers of the rural cops would be on the side of the people.

I’ve known conservatives who are, or were, in positions of authority in town offices and city councils. The moonbats seem to be concentrated in the high-priced coastal communities. There are a number of transplants from Massachusetts and New York....those are the ones to watch out for.

At least we have Paul LePage, a TEA Party guy, as Maine governor.

The raids will be electronic. The idea is to make everybody a criminal and then selectively enforce the law.

Passage of an unConstitutional gun ban law, no matter how they try to enforce it, will automatically paint a bulls-eye on the back of every gun grabbing politician from coast-to-coast.

They think they are safe.

They are wrong.

I’m in rural NH.

We have friends in a rural area north west of Bangor. What you say is true. I think there are some regions in the country where the commies will just let ‘em be. What they’ll do is cut off all gummint support, but most folks up there don’t need it and won’t miss it.They take care of one another.

Yup. Transplants from Connecticut and Rhode Island are just as bad.

I envy you. Here in NH, we’ve had nothing but commies in the corner office for the last four years, and another commie just got elected. Our whole congressional delegation is outright commie, not even a RINO in the lot.

Ten Million people “armed” with brooms, each representing an effective long gun, marching on DC might be a visible deterent. Participation would be limited to actual owners of militarily effective rifles, ARs, AKs M1s etc.

There are only so many swat teams out there.

Never hit your opponent where they expect you to hit them, unless you have overwhelming fire power. And a shotgun is just gonna get the swat team mad. In that situation, my suggestion would be to hit them where they are most exposed. And a swat team is hardly exposed at all. What we should do is lay out some terms, for every single swat team raid,.....

I am from rural Vermont but I have been traveling the world for most of the past five decades; currently in Alaska. I have been planning to go back home to build a small house and live out my remaining years on the forty acres we own near the Canadian border. Now I am not so sure that is a good idea but I have been planning on it so long I don’t know want to let the b@st@rds prevent me from having the life I have dreamed of so long.

Will they miss electricity? That's easy for the government to shut down.

How about shipments to the grocery stores? All they have to do is set up roadblocks in the name of "public safety."

You're right! Why should WE be on the defense. Let's throw the changes in the law back in their faces. Start by petitioning our representatives to repeal the 1968 Gun Control Act, and every successive law and regulation which was made to attempt to ‘make it work.’ I propose:

“A National Remilitarization Act

Whereas, the 2nd Amendment to the US Constitution does not limit nor specify the arms which the people have the right to keep and bear, and

Whereas, the Militia by law includes every able-bodied man between the ages of 17 and 45, unless otherwise designated by the individual states, and by implication every able-bodied citizen,

Be it enacted: that any US Citizen, enlisted or enrolled in any state militia, Sheriffs Posse, State, County or municipal police auxiliary, police reserve, or constabulary, and or state emergency management agency Community Emergency Response Team, shall be allowed to own, keep, bear and if occasioned, use any military weapon or equipment what-so-ever.

Moreover, if such weapons or equipment has been deactivated or demiliterized, said militia member may restore it to fully operating condition, at his own expense, or at the expense of the militia unit to which he belongs”.

Meanwhile, all of you, go out and join your State Guards, your Sheriff's’ Posses, your State, County or Local police reserves, your Community Emergency Response Teams, whatever. If you belong to a reenactment unit, petition to have it declared to be a part of your state militia. Take a clue from 'Joe Hill'; "Get out and organize."

The gun grabbers are very stupid if they think that.

People aren’t going out here and panic buying these guns in this economy just to have to turn them in. They will fight and be right for doing so.

Want the guns, go out and try to get them Mr. and Mrs. Senator and Congressman. The blood will be on your hands and if you fail, don’t be surprised what else might happen. The people of this nation are PISSED right now. Gun grabbers beware, the backlash will be strong, violent and powerful if you don’t cut the crap out now.

I doubt that your reasoning is correct. Check for anyone selling weapons and although you’ll find a rise in prices for those who have them available, there are not a lot of weapons available for purchase anywhere at this time, even at exorbitant prices compared to just a few months ago.

Consider that such a “commodity” will not be so easily “flippable” when they are paying an enormous premium at this time and several months in the future the prices will likely drop and there will be no way you can profit off of such deals, IMO.

There are surely some who are attempting to make some cash at this time by flipping rifles, but I highly doubt it’s anywhere near a majority of buyers.

Hit the SWAT teams and you severely demoralize the enemy and significantly reduce their effectiveness. Hit them either when they are on an op, or hit them when they’re sleeping, doesn’t matter.

If they have a house surrounded, several dozen, or more, patriots surround them with layers and snipe away at them until they give chase, layer one falls back and layer two tears into them (all assuming you have enough manpower for that tactic).

There are countless ways to battle our domestic enemies if push comes to shove, regardless of their technical “superiority”, as long as there are enough determined patriots willing to fight.

Americans are fairly intelligent, for the most part, and are exceptionally talented at warfare, and given our nature, there will be no way our government could come out on top if they want to start the dance.

If dressed up rifles (aka assault rifles) have no legitimate use in private hands, then what the heck are they doing slung on the back of most police motorcycles, in patrol cars, etc. Surely if these weapons are unable to be used in any form or fashion for self defense (and I'm not going over to the intent of the 2nd, which is to take on the government should it forget the contract with Americans called the constitution...)

Why are these ‘weapons of mass destruction’ in the hands of civil law enforcement? What use do they have? We've been told that these can only be used to kill recklessly, but for some reason, virtually every law enforcement office in the country has a small stack of them, either in the armory or in their vehicles.

Could it possibly be that these weapons are useful for self defense? That the left is trying to lie to us? Of course, that's almost always the case when dealing with liberals.

If a gun free zone keeps people safe, why isn't the White House Secret Service detail disarmed? The simple answer is that liberals have but one standard, that called ‘double.’ Diane Feinstien is pleased as punch to take away your guns, but don't you dare touch hers. She's more equal than you.

And should you dare waive an evil high capacity magazine around at a protest rally in Washington DC, there won't be any conversations as to your intent, you'll be in jail and before a judge in no time at all. Oh, and in case you think that it's just fine to waive it around on media property, that's a felony for you and I; not so for someone who works inside and is ‘making a point.’

The left has decided that it will be their way, or their way. Your choice. Luckily for them, so far, most Americans are law abiding citizens who actually respect that title. And luckily for them, most citizens haven't figured out yet that it is virtually impossible to fail to commit at least one felony a day under the winding and complex series of laws we have in this nation.

You do realize that if you drive onto school property to drop off your child at school, and just happen to have a bottle of over the counter pain pills in the car, you can be arrested and prosecuted for distribution of a controlled substance on school grounds, an automatic felony in virtually every jurisdiction in the country?

Ahh, yes, that's the ultimate trap. Who wants felons to have guns? No one, of course. What will be your felony?
