Rush Limbaugh today said hes not surprised to already see conservatives coming up with all kinds of creative reasons to disqualify Ted Cruz from the presidency. He particularly focused on a point made on Fox yesterday by Charles Krauthammer, that Cruz has the same amount of experience President Obama did when he announced for the presidency and that didnt turn out terribly well.
Limbaugh first brought up how The Five dumped all over Cruz and said, Thats somewhat understandable for reasons I cant explain. But then he played Krauthammers comments and found it a little ridiculous for anyone on the right to compare Cruz to Obama.
If Obama had run a state, Limbaugh asked, or if Obama had been in the Senate longer, hed have been okay?
He argued ideology is a bigger problem of Obamas than lack of pre-presidency political experience and lamented how wrong-headed the conservative criticism of Cruz is getting.

FWIW, Cooke took a mauling in the comments section.
Just ask CEW, he was there.
Several reasons: A: they are liberal trolls. B: They are die hard Walker supporters. C: They are Rand Paul bots. D: They are not very smart, so this is a desperate attempt to be in on the real truth....that none of the rest of us are smart enough to figure out....including Cruz himself and Alan Dershowitz, among others. E: Mental illness.
Yeah, I was there....I was part of the mauling Cooke took. Glad to know he continued to get pummeled.
He is the staunchest Ted Cruz supporter you can get. Nevertheless, I like to know what the loony left and the anti-Cruz lamestream media are up to, if nothing at all, to better come up with effective ways to defeat them.
Of course, I was approaching it purely from an intellectual understanding of the law.
But yet, do you like the cut of that Jeb fellow’s jib?
See, that’s your problem....having a legitimate intellectual understanding.
Who the hell wants that when you can have an emotional rant, or an agenda, or have to pretend to be intellectual.......certainly not certain Freepers....
LMAO.
” the Charles W. Cooke hitpiece on Cruz at NRO this AM?”
Gotta link? I’m time challenged over here!
Though I think most of the commenting has died down by now.
We need road and yard signs and bumper stickers, as the MenSeekingMen aren’t going to utter Cruz’ name again.
Before Cruz was in the Senate, he wasn't a community organizer like Obama.
He is was Solicitor General for the state of Texas, the chief lawyer for the state of Texas in front of the US Supreme Court, supervised and led every appeal for the State of Texas in a 4,000 person agency with over 700 lawyers.
And over and over again fought and won some of the biggest conservative fights in the country.
Whether it was:
defending the 10 Commandments on monuments on the state capital grounds - won 5-4 at the US Supreme Court,
defending the Pledge of Allegiance - won unanimously,
2nd Amendment to keep and bear arms - won 5-4. Standing up to the UN and World Court and defending US soverienty - won 6-3.
And so unlike Obama, Cruz has a proven record for over a decade for standing up and defending conservative principles over and over again. And winning over and over again.
I'm sure there are purists here that will find fault with him.
What better site to sit back and watch us devour our own.............
I think there are a significant numbers of Conservatives who have other favorites, and feel they need to dump on Cruz in order to make things easier for their choice. Personally, I wish they wouldn’t. We have a long way to go in this campaign and it’s very possible that another name, but still Conservative, may make it to the top.
I just heard a new excuse to bash Ted Cruz from Gutfeld on The Five: Ted Cruz is a bad speaker.
The GOPe has its orders to diminish Cruz anyway it sees fit.
I don’t like the way Ted Cruz parts his hair. Therefore, I will never, ever vote for him and if he is the nominee, I’m going to sit it out or else vote Democrat.
/FReeper off

Yeah he stole that from Dana.
Ah, shut up already.
