Ted Cruz spoke to Chris Cuomo this morning on CNN about the Twitter battle that took place between the two of them last night on Western Tuesday. This is what he had to say:

Cruz: But what Donald did last night, and listen, you’re in New York, you’ve seen this a lot. When Donald gets scared, when he gets angry, when he’s threatened, he begins yelling, he begins screaming, he begins often cursing, and he begins trying to be a bully. So last night Donald threatened my wife, he went directly after my wife. And I gotta tell you, number one- Heidi, my wife, she’s the daughter of missionaries in Africa, she’s my best friend in the world, and if Donald wants to get in a character fight, he’s better off sticking with me because Heidi is way out of his league. But it is also– it reveals a lot about character, it reveals a lot about class, that Donald’s instinct is to try to attack my wife and sully her. And you know what, that should be beneath Donald. But you know Chris, the reason he’s doing that? Is because he had a very bad night last night. He got clobbered in Utah. Remember Donald campaigned in Utah, he tried to win in Utah, and he got blown out of the water. And he is seeing Republican uniting behind our campaign.

So let me see if I have this straight. It’s OK to threaten another candidate’s family members, if you don’t actually follow through on the threat. Is that right?
Yes, by some anti-Trump SuperPAC, NOT by Cruz as Trump and his supporters has repeatedly alleged. They followed these allegations, which they have no evidence for, with threats against Cruz, something which you are apparently fine with.
On Iowa: Conservative Treehouse has posted (and no, I’m not going to look up the link at this date) and extensive minute-by-minute Twitter history of that evening. Cruz was innocent . . . AT FIRST. But as Carson’s information came in and as he made it clear he was NOT dropping out, Cruz continued to instruct operatives to direct people as though he was. Hence, “Lyin’ Ted.” It fits, it sticks.
Second, a “prospective” first lady? She knew she would be first lady when she did the model photo shoot? And she isn’t naked, for the record. As for an employee “hiding” her shady past, what evidence do you have of that? I have heard nothing to this point that she in any way deceived the Cruz campaign. But you’re still dodging the issue, which is a PAC associated with Cruz put out the pictures. I didn’t fault him for that. What I did fault him for was failure to denounce that pact STRONGLY and IMMEDIATELY, then to whine about Trump’s response. Weak, and unpresidential.
Third, I would have overlooked the Iowa event had it not also been associated with the deceptive “vote fraud” mailers and subsequent “Rubio dropping” rumors by the Cruz campaign in Nevada. Once is an accident (which Cruz knew, in fact, was not an accident because he subsequently met with Carson and tried to woo him in a closet), twice is deliberate.
ALL OF THAT still probably would be a big deal were it not for the sheer hypocrisy of Cruz, running on the one hand as “God’s anointed” and having both his father and Glenn Beck push this approach to evangelicals while simultaneously engaging in a wagon load of dirty tricks. You can’t have it both ways. If he’s a plain old pol, no one can say anything. But if you’re running as St. Ted and pull this stuff? Won’t fly, hence, Lyin’ Ted.

How can a PAC be allied if they do not coordinate??
The PAC publically announces that it is supporting a candidate for president and then solicits funds for the purpose of supporting that candidate. However, even in the case of allied PACs they are not allowed to coordinate at all or they would be in violation of Campaign finance laws.
And this is where I think it calls into question Donald Trump's own morals and sense of judgment. This whole sordid and unbecoming incident.
They do it anyway. Only the naïve thinks otherwise.
problem is Trump has attacked Cruz’s wife. So it makes it tough for Cruz to go against the ad that he has no control over. After Trump apologizes then Cruz should say attacks against family members aren’t appropriate and attacking wives is never ok.

You know that may be true. Deceptive Donnie has made a lot of payoffs to establishment candidates, both liberal and conservative.

But how do we know the original photo of the nude man that was sold on Cruz's campaign website was real or fake? Maybe Cruz really does have six-pack abs under his shirt. Has anyone seen him with his shirt off? Yes, it's almost certainly a photoshop. But regardless, what does it say about a Presidential candidate who sells a poster of a nude fake picture of himself as a thug on his website? Or how about the actual video of Cruz as a teenager talking about bikini films, female anatomy, and his joke about world domination? So as Cruz the teenager said, he liked looking at naked women when he was a teenager. No problem there -- normal men do get a thrill out of that. So I can't criticize him for that. All I'm doing is pointing to the double standard. He refuses to criticize the PAC ad with Melania's nude picture (meaning he condones that personal attack), but doesn't acknowledge he also posted and sold a fake nude poster of himself on his campaign website -- for many months. Seems like Cruz should be reading Matthew 7:5

Correct, because you can’t prove a negative. There’s no proof that Trump eats puppies for breakfast. But there’s no proof that he doesn’t eat puppies for breakfast!
