HEY! Thanks!

Yesterday, the rotors were replaced on the truck, but the calipers had to be replaced, as well. They were frozen solid, which was what was making such an awful noise when I drove.

They didn’t find out about the calipers until they pulled the rotors, so they had to hunt some down. I was there almost five hours, and it’s so far from “home” that no one could be spared to make the trips to take me home.

So my entire day was really ugly. I didn’t want to go anywhere, but had promised my friend supper. I was going to make it there, but I was too wasted. HE was too wasted to go out to eat, so we got carry-out and went to breakfast this morning.

So I lost a day...wierd.

There’s a car show here on the main street (Water Street) and though it’s just a few blocks from here, I don’t think I feel like going.

I don’t know if my friend, will either. I finally got his laptop “fixed” last night, so he’s in Seventh Heaven, drooling over motorcycle parts! LOL!

Yes...the brake rotors and calipers were original equipment. It’s creeping up on 282,000 miles, now, so that’s good. If I’m careful, I can get another 282,000 out of it! ;o])

Did I mention we got a used car for our son?

It’s a 2005, with only 5000km on it.

WHOA!

What a deal! Congratulations to your son! I bet he’s happy!

I suspect the day will come when “Miss Daisy” will begin to nickel and dime me to death. Still, I’ll just keep it serviced and wash it once in a while! LOL!

Yes, he’s pretty happy, but now he needs to find a part time job to pay for it.

My best wishes for Miss Daisy’s health and long life. :-)

Part-time jobs are good for boys who want to drive cars. It gives them the erroneous feeling of freedom, until they actually have to WORK FOR A LIVING!!!

Still, it’s good that he is willing to work. Will he also have to pay for his share of the insurance?

And is your daughter still happy?

:o])

That sounds like an excellent trade. Congratulations!

I'm not sure, but if I were you, I'd be looking into getting him an ankle bracelet just to keep him at home. He's gonna be a heart-breaker.

Other mothers have been telling me that. He needs to shave, though. He has six straggly hairs on his chin!

Thank you! It's much cheaper than my son.

Did you get any offers on Teen #2 yet?

Yes, M'amm.

And is your daughter still happy?

I think so, and she is looking forward to going to Dallas with us this year.

Too bad you aren’t coming to Vegas....

I know, but one of my main suppliers hasn't opened there, so I can't unless they do.

OTOH, if I keep getting better at poker, maybe I'll get into a big tournament there, one day.(You can stay in my suite.)

I’m proud of you, Sis!

Thanks! I hope we are doing it right.

*HUGS*

I guess you didn't go to the car show?

I’ll look forward to your visit, no matter what the occasion! :o])

The car show will still be here tomorrow, so I’ll probably go then, with my friend. We’ve always had a thing about car shows, and have made them a “thing to do” since 1990.

This event is every year, and I really enjoy it, since it’s so close.

As for staying in your suite....yee-HAW!!!!
