Raqqa, Syria
Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, the leader of the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant, also known as ISIS, announced today that he would be disbanding all forces and returning all land to Syria and Iraq. The move was prompted by the ongoing Climate Conference in Paris.
"This is one thing we could not have anticipated," Mr. al-Baghdadi said in prepared remarks. "When we see the world coming together like this on such a dangerous subject as Global Climate Change, we realize that our Caliphate will never survive. It's only a matter of time before Climate Change is no more and the world's attention turns to us. At that point, we will have no chance. For the sake of the men, women, and children who have supported us, I can not continue a doomed campaign."
An emotional al-Baghdadi did not take any questions.
Sources close to al-Baghdadi who spoke on the condition of anonymity told us that it was becoming more and more difficult to recruit new fighters. "Even our existing people are extremely demoralized," one said. "The words of Donald Trump himself can not overcome our dispair."
According to their press release, surrender is total and immediate. Fighters are being paid and sent home by division. Any remaining money will be put into a fund to resettle Christians and Yazidis who have been displaced by the war.
"We thought the world was fragmented," one strategist was overheard saying to himself. "Who knew it could come together like this? This is a stinging rebuke."
So far there has been no comment from Damascus, Baghdad, Moscow, or Washington. One source inside the Kremlin said, "We are waiting to see if there will be any follow-up action. We want to make sure this is real before we decide on our next steps."
Yes, she did, didn’t she! LOL!
A “B” movie that turned into a blockbuster, now a cult.
My daughter had a Breaking Bad t-shirt. We got it at the Salvation Army on half-price day.
I’ve never watched “Breaking Bad,” because it either comes on at a time when I’m already in bed, or it’s on a channel I don’t get.
I’m done with the washing, but I’m disappointed and a little put out. I usually put in $1.25 for the higher water level and the last two times, one machine has taken my money and not filled it to the max. GAH!
When I had put all the money in the machines, I had .50 cents left, so I headed down to Rebel for two rolls of quarters. They were out.
This must be Monday.
As I was deleting my Favorites list, I realized that I can’t delete the banking sites until tomorrow, as I need the laptop for transactions today. I don’t want to put them on the loaner.
The clothes are waiting for me to hang them up, but I had to sit down for a bit. My back is feeling achy, and I’m trying to decide if I want a morphine now or later... :o|
Since I’m feeling better and the infection seems to have gotten under control, I canceled the appointment at the clinic this morning. So there are two stops I have eliminated. But I still have to go to RentACenter and pick up the loaner.
Good news about the infection. “Yay immune systems!” as batty Pat would say.
Bill and Tom are headed out to their afternoon classes, with much grumbling and snarkiness and, “Oh, I forgot my ...”. Who needs reality tv?
Bill just remember something else. I hear him leaping like a gazelle up the stairs.
Given the right tools, my up-regulated immune system will triumph every time!
The clothes are all hung up and drying, and so far, the day is quite pretty with sunshine and no clouds. And Mt Charleston is gorgeous, after all the snow it’s gotten in the last week. But we are supposed to get more rain this afternoon or evening, and that’s OK. We need it.
For some reason, I kinda miss the snarkiness that males bring to the area. If I want it, though, all I have to do is go to the community room and see the folks up there. ;o]
The laundry room was really full this morning. Two people were already there, washing clothes and two more came in as I was leaving. I seldom ever see that many people in there on Mondays.
Face, an old Compaq friend of mine sent me a video secretly recorded at the Dell facility where your laptop was built. This may explain the problems you’ve been having.

I wasted a perfectly good palindropost.
Oh. Noez. That sums it up, just perfectly. I think. It was definitely enlightening! LOL!
We wouldn’t have noticed, if you hadn’t mentioned it.
Thunderstorm here. Jake is nervous. Time to get Tom.
Yes. Yes you did.
I’m waiting for the UPS man to bring me my pills. I ran out of colloidal silver two days ago, and I’m thinking, if I can, I will get two bottles of it for June to see if a higher dosage helps my system, over all.
Tomorrow, I will be up early to take this to FedEx, and then wait for RAC to open so I can get the rental. I just couldn’t do it today.
I’m thinking your need for colloidal silver explains how CFIDS works. Basically, you’re body is fighting turning you into a werewolf and the silver helps your body from becoming so drained from the battle.
Makes perfect sense to me.
Back from Walmart. Going to Walmart with Tom the Son is expensive, but at least he entertains.
I’ll take that as a valid reason! What a concept! :o])
Maybe Tom will move out on his own in a year or two?
I have a couple of drumsticks baking, and they smell pretty good. Italian seasoned bread crumbs! Yummy!
He says he’ll be gone in no more than ten years.
What a.. bargain.. ;-)
At which point, he’ll be 29. However, he did say “no more than,” so it could be less. The trade programs open house at CPCC is next week. I hope he’ll be aflutter with enthusiasm for Industrial Equipment Mechanics, making him employable at a “get your own apartment” level in ONE year.
