I saw the movie 5x and looks liked I missed a lot of jokes. I’ll have to see it again.

“#125. The “Oh stewardess, I speak jive” scene.”

I used this link.

Doesn’t like Airplane? Hmm. How about Dumb and Dumber? Another all-time classic.

I would like to see a top 10 jokes from "It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World " movie thread. Any takers? How about when Ethel Merman gets in Terry-Thomas' Willys Jeep and sits on the cactus and asks "Where should I put This?"Milton Berle mumbles under his breath "oh boy..."

Yah, he spent years playing bad guys on various
TV shows. Remember a TV Guide interview w/him
in the 60s where he said he would like to do
comedy. He did and did it well.

Trivia: The ZAZ in WZAZ refers to Jerry Zucker, Jim Abrahams, and David Zucker. They were all writers and directors on Airplane! and worked previously on Kentucky Fried Movie (1977).

I think Leslie Nielson was pretty versetile. He was the captain of the Posiden, a serious role. Others who could play serious roles, were Dwight Schultz, from the A Team, and Owen Wilson.

The scene where Jonathan Winters destroys the service station is one of the funniest scenes from any movie, IMO.

The very first joke, I had never caught and laughed, the worst joke.

By the time we get to the 2s, I’m cracking up.

I love that movie.

The scene where the old man kicks the can after dying, and nobody says anything. Classic!

They should do the same thing with the original The Producers movie.

He had always been cast as a serious,successful.grim,man-in-charge type.

Nielson was that way in Airplane, too. That was what made him so funny.

Well for once this is pretty good “clickbait.” :-)

“Clickbait? What is it?!”

“It’s bait designed to get you to click, but that’s not important right now.”

THAT was one of my favorite scenes in that movie...I love the very first one where the nun grabs his shoulders, and you don’t really expect her to whack the hysterical woman! (and the Hare Krishna after her set up the rest!

One of the things that struck me about “Airplane!” was when I re-watched “Airport” a few months back...I simply could not watch the movie the same way!

Every single scene, and I do mean nearly every one of them, made the parody scene from “Airplane!” pop right into my head!

(Kind of the reverse of what happened to my wife after she watched “A Clockwork Orange” with me...she used to LOVE “Singing In The Rain”, but now, every time she sees that, all she can visualize is “A Clockwork Orange”.

She says she hates me for that...:(
