I'm writing this brief post to put into perspective what it all means when Obama cannot (rather refuses to) release his genuine birth certificate to put all rumors to rest.
The time for surprizes has long past. Obama is not going to magically produce it, saying "Gotcha," because that would have been done in response to Berg's suit.
You can take this to the bank, that when Obama is forced show his "vault" long-form birth certificate, the whole world will know that the COLB image was a forgery from Day One, as well as the phony FactCheck photos.
BUT, now here's the conundrum:
How is it that a total stranger to me (named Michele) can send me eight, high quality scans of BOTH SIDES of her COLB, and also ask Hawaii to print off another paper COLB and send it just to me,
when,
Obama cannot, or will not, produce even a second COLB scan OF THE REVERSE SIDE WHERE ALL THE STAMPS ARE PLACED, let alone show the real paper original to a neutral third party, or even in response to a lawsuit?
if the first scan was really made from the FRONT SIDE ONLY of a genuine, original COLB, then there's no reason on earth not to show the original, or not even to show a second scan of it,
EXCEPT for the inescapable conclusion that the one, and only one, COLB image is a forgery.
Fight The Smears changed their web page which displayed their smaller copy of it, by putting in the following lead-in line:
Smears claiming Barack Obama doesn’t have a birth certificate aren’t actually about that piece of paper — they’re about manipulating people into thinking Barack is not an American citizen.
We never said that Obama "doesn’t have a birth certificate." We all have a birth certificate, but we also do not substitute a forged image in place of that piece of paper.
What we are saying is that Obama is absolutely NOT a natural born citizen, and
If Obama really was born in Kenya, then, "O, Yeah," he would not have that piece of paper called a "US birth certificate."

I believe Obama has proof that he was born in Hawaii, but has been holding out...letting all the fuss fly about and the negative comments. He wouldn't be so stupid as to actually have no proof of U.S. citizenship. But he wants people to ramble on about it, so he is letting it be questioned, for the moment.
Then, in late October sometime he will produce it showing his birth in Hawaii - and that will up his poll numbers at the last minute. His team plays real dirty. Unfortunately they are also pretty clever it seems. I just think they know exactly when to reveal the Birth Certificate and will then try to make fools of McCain and the Republicans if they dare bring up the question in an ad or something.
He won’t allow his transcript from his undergraduate days at Columbia University to be released.
He “lost” his thesis on Soviet nuclear policy (see “Where in the World is Obama’s Missing Thesis“ which might provide insight regarding his seeming lack of knowledge about Soviet policy during the Kennedy years).
He won’t answer questions about his days at Harvard Law School.
He “lost” his Illinois Senate records.
He will only release a simple one-page letter from his doctor on his medical condition.
He won’t release his application to the state bar, which, as National Review’s Jim Geraghty notes raises questions about whether he told the truth about parking tickets and drug use, among other issues.
He won’t disclose list of his clients from his law firm days or the nature of the work he did for them as a lawyer (his clients include the indicted political fixer Tony Rezko).
He walks away from uncomfortable questions about Rezko at a news conference.
His cultists try to shut down inquiry into his stewardship of the Chicago Annenberg Challenge by sliming a journalist investigating his days at the helm of that group, which blew through $100 million dollars with no discernible benefit for the schools and students that it was putatively designed to help (what does the constitutional law lecturer say to the chilling of free speech by his acolytes?).
He tries to muddle his long-standing ties with Pastor Wright by producing a version of his attendance record at Trinity Church that is sharply at variance with previous versions he has given (”Obama Re-invents his Trinity Church History“).
