Obama Poised to Cede US Sovereignty, Claims British Lord
Fightin Words ^ | October 15, 2009 | Walter Scott Hudson

Regardless of whether global warming is taking place or caused to any degree by human activity, we do not want a global government empowered to tax Americans without elected representation or anything analogous to constitutional protections. The Founding Fathers would roll over in their graves if they knew their progeny allowed a foreign power such authority, effectively undoing their every effort in an act of Anti-American Revolution. If that is our imminent course, we need to put all else on hold and focus on stopping it. If American sovereignty is ceded, all other debate is irrelevant

US Constitution:

"Article II. Section 2.

...He [the President] shall have Power, by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, to make Treaties, provided two-thirds of the Senators present concur;..."

Consequently, it would seem that Obama can sign anything he wants but has to get a 2/3 vote of Senators to ratify it. That raises the interesting question of whether he or his dark forces would be ruthless enough to threaten enough Senators, or make enough of them absent on the day of vote, to exceed the threshold of "two thirds of the Senators present".

In that case, Article VI would be in operation:

"...all Treaties made, or which shall be made, under the Authority of the United States, shall be the Supreme Law of the Land;..."

In that case, this proposed relinquishment of national sovereignty by means of the treaty being signed in December, with subsequent fraudulent ratification soon thereafter, WILL be the flashpoint leading to a new civil war. This far outweighs the health care issue or anything else we can conceive.

“Treaties Do Not Supersede the Constitution”

Oh they’re going to walk right through that restraining order, or at least attempt to.

This means war, pure and simple.

I call BS on this. Obama is a loony Leftist asshat Commie, but he can’t sign away our Nation as described, much less enforce it.

Some good news finally:
No Executive Order, Presidential Directive, Executive Agreement, no NAFTA, GATT/WTO agreement/treaty, passed by ANYONE, can supersede the Constitution. FACT. No question!

Bring it...again, the world's largest ARMED civilian population may have a design to stand behind what GOD created.

The Lord has blessed us with a strong volunteer military, but that is NOT the reason why this country never gets invaded...it is US. It is the people. It is our hearts and the belief that when we are attacked we will stand and fight as we did when we created this great country. We have held off the foreign aspect of threats...must we hold off the domestic aspect, I imagine we will do the same.

I am ashamed that we let our country get to the point where someone thinks they can takeover and trash the American way of life domestically..internally...from within. Shame on us. But let this mistake serve to make us stronger in the future. Let the outcome of the upcoming be a shining example of the greatest nation on this earth...now or at any time in our past and future.

Soros, Obama, Rahm Emmanual, Cloward-Piven, George Wiley, Dale and Wade Rathke as well as Saul Alinsky can kiss my big red, white and blue a$$.

Why do you think that all the traitors and American haters voted for him?

That was back when individuals had the intelligence to read and understand the Constitution.

Now, most people do not know how to wipe their butts without the government telling them how.

Don’t believe it?

Ask the first ten people you meet tomorrow what rights are guranteed under the Constitution. Pay close attention to their answers.

What if people this year bought bulk pocket copies of the U.S. Constitution and handed them out to kids on Hallowe'en along with the Fun Size Milky Way Bars and Smarties?

"And neither you nor any subsequent government you may elect will have any power whatsoever to take it back. That is how serious it is."

Wanna bet your life on that one?

I'm betting mine that you're wrong.

(By the way, I'm represented in this matter by the law firm of Mossberg, Makarov, Springfield and Colt, PC.)

This comment has a similar tone to others I have received, to which my response is:

I agree with you on principle. However, there is a flaw in passively relying on the “limitations” built into the executive office. Those limitations really only exist if enforced. Like any law, if there is no one policing to detect and deter violations, it has no meaning. A cursory examination of American history reveals numerous examples of the built-in limitations of government being violently abused or ignored. At the end of the day we are the limitation on the executive. We are the Law. We have to keep this from happening.

Our friends in Great Britain, Canada and Australia and even France have been the ones reporting these things and trying to wake us up. They are worried about us.

Come on American media! Wake up!!! Stop thinking about your damn jobs. This is bigger than you! And you are dispensible! We’re all dispensible.

Yes, and the only way to do that is put the Congressmen on notice that we will vote them out and punish them for excess where there is a legal option.

Ultimately the threat of worse toward them is the only real limit, but that is implied.

I understand your position and agree fully.

The calls to the Congress Critters must be firm and show them that we DO understand what they are doing.

Handing out copies of the Constitution with Halloween candy is not a bad idea.

I like that.

I think it depends on what one’s definition of an invasion is. I’d call what is occurring on our southern border an invasion. We don’t have the strength to resist it. Political correctness has sapped our strength.
