U.S. Building a Domestic Population-Control Grid Based on Military Ops

The U.S. military has become expert at controlling urban populations in Iraq – but why is the Department of Homeland Security building similar capabilities here?

Unfortunately, the federal government’s war on freedom is a subject still dominated mostly by conspiracy theorists, end-of-the-worlders, and yes, crackpots who hold highly marginal and dismissible views. Fortunately, some of that is changing with the rise of “smart preppers.”

I think most people concerned about liberty would appreciate an honest, probative look at actual plans and initiatives that federal authorities are now developing in earnest. Not wild conclusions based on dark conspiracy theories that make most rational people roll their eyes. But a careful assessment of what Uncle Sam and his legions of high-tech crony capitalists are actually building and developing.

In this case, what’s on the table for scrutiny is nothing less than the creation of a national population surveillance and control grid.

I think it is time to abolish the Dept. of Homeland Security (as well as the Departments of HUD, Education, Energy, and maybe others). There is nothing in its purpose that does not fall under the raison d’etre of the Dept of Defense.

On the other hand, the 20th Cent. shows us that a government intent on becoming a dictatorship does not need all these high=tech toys to stomp on human freedom.

Drone Use Takes Off on the Home Front

http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052702304331204577354331959335276.html

Paragraph 1
With little public attention, dozens of universities and law-enforcement agencies have been given approval by federal aviation regulators to use unmanned aircraft known as drones, according to documents obtained via Freedom of Information Act requests by an advocacy group.

Snip
Last Paragraph

“The very same drone that was staking out a nest of insurgents and possibly shooting them could be deployed in New York for surveillance” after removal of weaponry, Mr. Calo said. He said the use of drones could spark a wider debate about privacy because people aren’t accustomed to such technology. “If you bring back a tank from Afghanistan, you don’t expect it to show up in a park,” he said.”

We are already seeing much of this in the Houston area. Unmanned drones in Montgomery co. Texas, just North of Houston. Tomball, Texas received a DHS grant and is sporting spy chopper, advanced surveillance in cruisers and about town.

The great embarrassment, Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee just announced a new coordinated effort through TSA to monitor buses within Houston. Checkpoints, random searches, parading dogs through terminals and onto Metro buses.

WE THE PEOPLE are now the suspects. This has been formulated with the approval of Democrats and Republicans.

Folks, the Republican party is NOT your friend.

Car makers are being “encouraged” to install black-box tracking systems in all new cars.

Some $31 billion has been spent since 2003 to create “mini-CIA” domestic “Fusion Centers” – where local police monitor the political activities of private citizens, then send that data to Washington. Considering that “constitutionalist” and “patriots” are identified in federal documents as possible terror threats who should be watched, these fusion centers are a genuine cause for concern.

Major grants are going to local police departments for license plate readers to track autos (and by extension, their operators) automatically.

Thuggish tactics… FDA unleashes undercover operations to bring off-the-grid rural farming communities such as the Amish to heel – under the pretense of curbing raw milk sales across state lines.

New portable facial-analysis lie detectors – some units are based on thermal imaging technology – are being developed for wider use as in a national checkpoint system.

Tools for the totalitarian state being assembled...

When I read stuff like this, there are times I think getting hit by the USSR/Russia/Red China or even Iran in a nuclear war would be a good idea. At least it would take out most of the people proposing these ideas and the States would have more freedom, restoring the Constitution to the way it was meant to be prior to the Civil War. It's either that or maybe it is the time Jesus should return. I think "The Man" who wants to do all of this is getting too big for his breeches so to speak and needs to have the smackdown applied to knock him down a peg or three. Think of Emperor Nimrod and the Tower of Babel.

It's like my cousin said, "they want to 'ghetto us' dude."

The other side of the coin, the more high-tech you go, the easier it could be to foil them. The Afghans and Taliban do it all the time. One tactic to defeat infrared vision is to find a rock sitting in the sun all day and crawl up on it and cover yourself with a blanket. To night vision, the blanket makes you look like part of the rock. All the high tech over there we have and it can be defeated by a $5.00 blanket.

Thank you for the ping CB.

One step at a time our beloved nation has been turned into the USSR. CWII is around the corner. Maybe even this summer. Sparked by the Travon Martin incedent.

Wow, first I’ve heard of that specific VIPR program. Holy crap. I’m reading all I can find about it. I think we’re already circling the drain...

I saw this coming pre-Eschelon/Tempest (NSA) in early-1996, way before 9-11. An IT friend who hard-wired The Puzzle Palace’s TS/EO underground floors and other TS/EO installations, confirmed that it was well-underway years before. So many top secret installations/data collection center/info repositories worldwide, it’s beyond simply scary.

It’s already way too late for this Constitutional Republic. We’re past circling the drain and headed down the proverbial “rabbit hole”.

I noticed many tv shows/commercials portray men as stupid, man child like. Autism is increasing rapidly especially in boys. Chemicals are interfering with hormones, There is a big government media push push to make homosexuality a norm.

Strong men are harder to control.

Lets not forget that the DHS just bought 450 MILLION rounds of terminal performance .40 caliber ammo. Not BALL, this is JHP.

Now, who is all that ammunition going to be issued to?

Between all the FED LE agencies, probably less than 50k armed agents.

So, again who is that ammunition going to be issued to?
