I beg to differ. There has been a quiet riot in the MSM since 2000 and it is at fever pitch right now. Their riot is expressed in the abandonment of fairness and balance in new reporting; failure to cover opposing opinions or candidates; failure to investigate unless it destroys or bruises the candidacy of a Republican.

Ooh, good point.

A terrorist attack wouldn't help McCain at all, IMHO, nor would it help Obama. I don't think there are enough fencesitters left for the numbers (whatever they may be -- I don't trust any polls) to change much, even in the face of a terrorist attack. Those who opposed the WOT (IOW, by and large, Obama supporters) will say, look, raping civil liberties [sic] didn't save us from a terrorist attack, and more of the same won't help either.

I doubt that Iran will try to start something this close to the election, for fear that it would submarine the ballot manufacturing machine that is the Obama campaign. There is probably no Moslem on Earth who doesn't believe that Obama is a Moslem.

None of that is surprising. Not sure there will be an October surprise, although it wouldn't be like the Demwits not to try just that, they've been doing that since 1988 at least (the ridiculous story about Reagan and Bill Casey and the Hostages).

In the hour of the wolf -- the next one falls on the first Tuesday of next month, inside the voting booths all over this country -- the pissing and moaning will end at last.

John McCain will be elected the next President of the United States.

The November surprise will be that Obama doesn't try to AlGore the results.

How would anyone be able to tell he was dead? The man has sucked down so much alcohol in his lifetime he’s already embalmed; he is, literally, already preserved in alcohol, and will wxhibit no signs of mortification and decomposition.
