Dateline: The ghosts of government

WASHINGTON – The nation's capital is awash with lawmakers, lobbyists and policy wonks. But by night, it's home to a variety of ghosts and demonic spirits, at least according to local folklore.

Built on a swamp, Washington has had a long and bloody history, including being a wartime battleground. Many ghosts from the Revolutionary War, the War of 1812 and the Civil War are said to haunt the city.

Some even believe the White House is haunted, with many former residents and staffers saying they've seen the ghosts of President Abraham Lincoln and former first ladies Abigail Adams and Dolley Madison.

But Washington's spooks aren't confined to 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. There are plenty of other strange occurrences attributed to the supernatural. Here are a handful of legends to send chills down your spine, just in time for Halloween.

1. The Octagon Museum. For one of the first homes near the White House, Col. John Tayloe built this six-sided house with eight angled walls in 1799 at 1799 New York Ave. N.W. Brian Thomsen says in his new book, Oval Office Occult, that two of Col. Tayloe's daughters haunt the place – each because of a broken heart.

One daughter, love-struck over a British officer just before the War of 1812, was barred by Col. Tayloe from seeing him. In a rage, she stormed upstairs, but her candle was snuffed out and she tripped and fell down the staircase to her death. Her apparition is seen on the stairs, accompanied by a strong wind that blows out the light illuminating the staircase. Sometimes people say they can hear the girl's screams.

In 1817, Col. Tayloe arranged for his other daughter to marry an older man, but, in defiance, she eloped with another.

I wish the ghosts of the Founding Fathers and all the Patriots of the past who have served, died in battle, or simply fought for this country could rise up and slam the Marxists. Basically, the ones here now should, but they won't. Their lust for free stuff from the government is larger than their love of this Republic. One in four school kids are dropping out. One new dimocrat voter created for free handouts. The other three will go through the leftist/socialist/communist government schools, off to the same in a college and indroctinated for 20 years. Creating probably 2 of the 3 as government loving robots. The one remainder will turn to the conservative side.

The left saw and knew they could not defeat us honestly at the ballot box. So, they started cheating, lying and stealing elections. They infiltrated the schools, state and federal life government jobs, the union thugs, print media and voice media. One day we woke up and there they were, all middle aged radicals of the 1960s who have indroctinated our youth. While we slept, they worked. We lost because we did not see. Now Osama Hussein Obama wants 12 million illegals to get social security and citizen rights immediately. 12 million new legal votes. These illegals will vote for dims because they are the ones that gave them their free stuff. THAT will lead to a tsunami of illegals flooding our borders seeking free stuff and citizens rights. All WE have is talk radio and the Internet. They will seek to silence talk radio and then attach new laws to the Internet to shut down our voices of opposition here. Then the only way we do anything is behind closed doors across America. But, we will be watched by the jack boot thugs of the federal big brother government. CIA, FBI, all branches of the intelligence gathering of the US government will be aimed at us. They will seek those of dimocrat faith to speak out against their family and neighbors to find out who we are.

A while back I suggested Jim Robinson be ready to completely dump everything from his servers on this web site. I firmly believe if Obama wins, that he will seek the information on posters of conservative web sites such as this, to find out exactly who we are through tracing us. Gates and the leftists at Microsoft will be happy to help them track us down.

So, I repeat my warning to Jim, to dump this web sites posts and all information before Obama and the Congress orders him under the threat of jailing to not do it and to even assist in tracking us down.
