For the second time this year a tourist at Yellowstone National Park has been attacked by a bison.

a 55-year-old man from Norco, California, was taking pictures of a bull bison that was wandering in the Bridge Bay Campgrounds. The two were about 10 feet apart when the bison charged.

a bull bison can stand six feet tall, weigh up to 2,000 pounds and run up to 30 miles an hour. During the next several weeks they are more dangerous than usual because it's their mating season.

They do not say how far apart they were AFTER the buffalo charged.

Yep. If you get too close to the bulls they will charge...they’re real finicky about their personal space.

Probably just pissed over too many tourists asking to see their wings.

Bison is delicious. Much better for you than beef too.

Darwin alert. Anyone who gets 10 ft. from a wild animal deserves what they get

Maybe the bison thought he was attractive.

Went last year and it’s amazing what these people will do to get a picture. They think Yellowstone is a big petting zoo.

Well, at least he lived through it, as did the unfortunate tourist from Spain, I guess.

I’d bet they were wearing red. People laugh at this, but cattle and certain other large animals (such as horses) are color blind but obviously red registers in their brains as something very objectionable. I don’t know how color-blind people see things, but I imagine there must be some gradation in gray scales, and for animals, this must appear very threatening in some way.

Good tip: Never wear red, never turn your back on a large animal, and be ready to run at all times...

Well, looks like this bison wanted to pet him real good. So maybe Yellowstone is a big petting zoo. :-)

When I went there ages ago there were warnings all over that said not to go near them. They can move really fast and they’re deadly.

Hah! After the charge it sounds like there was Zer0 clearance and that picture taker has about as much sense as Zer0.

The guy did get the point though. LOL! Unlike our not so glorious leader who is still campaigning with his weekly press conferences.
