Obviously, the intruder got the point; but what happened to the student?

Apparently the med student really walked the wakazashi!

Perhaps as he encountered the intruder he said “Katana help you?”

... I’ll be here all week. Try the veal!

Knowing Maryland as I do, I doubt the police will look upon this with favor. He may find himself in trouble unless he can demonstrate that he was in fear of his life AND had no way to escape.

That whole “way of escape” concept is a criminals right to rob and then SUE if they are injured. Complete bull crap.

"the student told the man he found in his garage to leave and the man accosted him. That's when Guglielmi says the student defended himself, cutting off the man's hand and causing a severe laceration to his upper body."

Since the AP apparently has issues with issuing complete sentences, here's an example of their poor work effort. Fair use indeed.

What is worth thinking of is what if we were forced to abandon all guns in the US?

Learn knife fighting skills?

I wish I had the trained skills of using a Katana, I have researched buying a modern day steel type for cutting but carrying one is impractical in the US for defensive purposes.

As a gun guy who occasionally practices some Iaido ken-gi & Goza cutting, there are obvious downsides to swords. Yet they possess two large advantages:

1) Used properly, they are virtually silent.

2) They don't run out of bullets.

Hm, I swear it was an incomplete sentence when I first looked at it.

forced to abandon all guns in the US???

This government action will reduce the USA population greatly and in a very short time period.

“Don't tread on me!” are NOT empty words. At least not from this Jarhead.
