So beautifully said, and I know felt by you, TC. Blessed and Peaceful Easter wishes to all the prayer dosers, and for that cute little buckeroo, Logan. He's just a miracle, isn't he?? SO big and delicious !! It's worth going to the start of his thread from time to time just to remember our Lord's mercy and the miracles that prayer can bring. Please keep the prayers going .. I find myself praying just about all the way to work and all the way back. My life needs it !!!

Yesterday, I went to church and again experienced the journey of our dear suffering Lord to the cross, and it just breaks my heart ... I could never go to see The Passion .. just too painful to even think about, never mind to see, the horror and agony He went through for us. A prayer at one of the Stations of the Cross was that as we go through our life journey, we should remember that we will suffer in life as well, and we can pledge our suffering to Him .. to offer it as a small measure in gratitude for His. I'm going to remember to do that.

God Bless Us All .. and thanks, TC and BG, for being so devoted. Pray pray pray.

I have a special prayer request. I just talked to the mother of my special patient (Angel) and she gave permission for me to tell his story and ask for your prayers.

Angel was born on January 19; full term, and appeared perfect. However, when his Mom tried to feed him, he choled and turned blue. He was brought to our NICU and diagnosed with a tracheal-esophogeal atresia. He had surgery immediately to repair the trachea, but has been in the NICU growing until his esophagus can be repaired. He has constant suction to the back of his throat, and has had several complications.

In spite of his problems, he is developing normally, and is the SWEETEST baby. He coos and smiles and kicks and reaches for his toys, and enchants everyone with his big blue eyes.

He is going to have his major surgery on May 18, and we're hoping that his esophagus has grown enough that it could be connected without having to use part of his intestine, which would make life a LOT hareder for him.

Please pray for a miracle for Angel

Thank you and God Bless and Happy Mother's Day to all our wonderful ladies.

Love,

Donna

Dear God, please provide Your healing miracle to our little friend Angel. Shower him with love and keep him strong and free from pain. We pray that his esophagus has grown as needed to enable his surgery to be free from other complications for him. Send your angels to serenade his mommy through all of this so that she may also know Your love and comfort.

We thank you God for all of your blessings. Please guide Angel's doctors and the medical staff as they care for him. And God, we thank you for your earthly angel, Donna, who cares so deeply for all of us and continually gives her love to us.

In Your name we give thanks in prayer....

Thank you for your prayers; as far as me being an angel, TT, ask BG; she can vouch that there's quite a bit of "devil" in me. LOL!!

Merciful Heavenly Father,
Surround this little Angel and help all of his systems to grow in size and strength before the May 18 surgery date. Father, intercede, and let that esophagus be the proper length so that the doctors do not have to use a portion of the intestine. We accept with gratitude your intercession and willingness to intercede according to thy Will, for we have seen miracles abound when we gather together in prayer.

Surround DL and all her nursing colleagues and the doctors and other medical professionals caring for Angel. Guide them all and inspire them as to the proper actions and interventions this little one needs.

Surround the parents and family of Angel and comfort them while they hold vigil for him. We thank you for the team of angels who works with Angel, and all of the patients in NICU. Thank you for the team of angels you have assigned to each of the medical professionals in that hospital and all others.

We thank you and praise you Father, for the gift of Life. We ask that if it is according to thy Will, Angel's life will be long and full of opportunity and promise. Let this which we have called forth for Angel also be poured out on any and all who are in a similar situation of need.

Amen

TEXOKIE, thank you for that beautiful prayer for Angel.

Now, you guys; I had a minor miracle happen today. I went as a delegate to the State Convention in Phoenix. I didn't have my name in contention for one of the delegate or alt. delegate slots to go to NY, but decided at the last minute it wouldn't hurt to try, so I asked one of my friends to nominate me from the floor.

GUESS WHAT!?! I GOT ELECTED to the last slot for alt delegate. I'M GOING THE NATIONAL CONVENTION!!!! (God willing). I'm SOOOOO excited!!!!

Thank you and all others who prayed for Angel. I heard from his mom and another nurse since I was off today. He had his surgery which the doctors thought would last 8-12 hours. It only lasted 4-5 hours, and they were able to connect his esophagus. PRAISE GOD!!!!

He's already off the vent. I'm going to a staff meeting so I'll be able to see him. I AM SO RELIEVED!!!

Thank you again for your prayers. Another miracle!!

Yes, I will tell his mom. We are not quite out of the woods yet. When I visited yesterday, I found out that it took a LOT of stretching, and there is a good possibility of leakage, so keep the prayers going that the leaks will be minimal, and will heal without further surgical intervention.

Thanks again.

I took Angel for a swallow test today. No leaks could be seen in his esophagus, so I am now trying to teach him how to feed with a nipple. He has been fed only with a gastrostomy tube up to now.

At least he's letting me put the bottle in his mouth.

Thank you again, for your prayers. I wish you could all see this baby. Everyone who sees his smile is absolutely enchanted with this baby.
