So How did Richie Gephardt get in the Missouri Air National Guard? Did his milk-truck driving Dad use his union connections, or was Richie's Dad skimming cream at night? I got out of college in 1971 (four deferments!), and very few of the people I graduated follwed any of the above 3 options. My draft number was 68 (out of 365) and they didn't get to me until November. In December, Nixon announced the discontinuation of the draft.

I tend to doubt any national guard pilots served in Vietnam, but you never know where you might wind up should hostilities break out.

Agreed.......and again, I can only say it's totally disgusting.
Dan Rather just makes me ill. I only watched about 10 minutes of it, that was enough for me. Just enough to get mad enough to email CBS about their continued Bias. I figure if I'm gonna complain about it, they're gonna have to hear from me. Not that they will care.

Did you notice how poorly Bush's address was concealed on the "report for a physical" memo? Are they trying to leak this to open up more lines of investigation?

What really galls me, is the fact that CBS and the Democrats are impuning the National Guard....as if it is somehow inferior service to this country. This really takes the cake!
