I'm glad to see my Dem governor that is up for reelection next year, Rod Blagojevich, near the bottom of this list...

Along with Kathleen Blanco (La.), who really took the bull by the horns after Hurricane Katrina. (<;

I'm glad to see our governor, Fast Eddie Rendell, in negative numbers, even if it is only by 2%.

Ladies and gents, I give you my dubious, crooked, tax-raising RINO Governor Taft (Ohio) on the bottom.
(crowd cheers)

Lots of RINOcrats at the bottom of that list.

It's kind of funny to see Murkowsky near the end of the list. He is at least trying to get north slope oil/gas field development underway.

How the heck does that egg-head Rell have the highest approval rating of all U.S. governors? Has Connecticut reached the point where approval polls are administered like they are in China? Is there any other explanation?

I'm surprised that 31 of 50 govs are 50% or over appoval. I'm of the throw the bums out persuasion.

Kinda strange, at a glance, to see Wyoming with a D governor, and Connecticut with a R governor.

After the last time these ratings went out, with our Governor Mike Rounds leading the approval pack, our local Gannett rag went dumpster diving in the Capital and manufactured a scandal around use of the state airplane. I see that it has affected his numbers a little, but they must be disappointed they couldn't make a serious dent. They're scared he might challenge and defeat Tim Johnson in 2008.

Too bad he didn't run against Conrad. Dole has missed out on a lot of top candidates. Having second tier candidates going up against the dem smear machine isn't going to cut it next time.

People just love to see their leaders sob in the face of adversity. As a woman, I was embarrassed by Blanco's representation of women in politics.

MO Gov. Matt Blunt at 34% approval ? WTH ? Are they making this stuff up as they go along ? Pharaoh Phil Bredesen in my state (TN) surely does not have majority approval rating with the scandals going on.

Blago is vunerable. It's because of his own bad ideas and that he can't wash off the stink of chicago politics. People are not very happy with gov't right now and the dems control IL gov't.

Kathleen Blanco is not getting any credit for the splendid job she did with Katrina and Rita. What a shame.
