A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day
Free Republic made its debut in September, 1996, and the forum was added in early 1997.   Over 100,000 people have registered for posting privileges on Free Republic, and the forum is read daily by tens of thousands of concerned citizens and patriots from all around the country and the world.
A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day was introduced on June 24, 2002. It's only a small room in JimRob's house where we can get to know one another a little better; salute and support our military and our leaders; pray for those in need; and congratulate those deserving. We strive to keep our threads entertaining, fun, and pleasing to look at, and often have guest writers contribute an essay, or a profile of another FReeper.
On Mondays please visit us to see photos of A FEW OF FR'S VETERANS AND ACTIVE MILITARY
If you have a suggestion, or an idea, or if there's a FReeper you would like to see featured, please drop one of us a note in FR mail.
We're having fun and hope you are!

A Dog Christmas Carol...(sung to Winter Wonderland)

(OK please don't take offense :o) ....it's a guy dog thing! ( and I'm the ultimate GUY DOG!)

Dog tags ring, are you listening'?
In the lane, snow is glistenin'.
It's yellow, NOT white I've been there tonight,
Marking up my winter wonderland.

Smell that tree? That's my fragrance.
It's a sign for wandering vagrants;
Avoid where I pee, it's MY pro-per-ty!
Marked up as my winter wonderland.

In the meadow dad will build a snowman,
following the classical design.
Then I'll lift my leg and let it go Man,
So all the world will know that it's
mine-mine-mine!

Straight from me to the fence post,
flows my natural incense boast;
Stay off my TURF, this small piece of earth,
I marked it as my winter wonderland."

One reason I'm nicknamed "the terminater" Enjoy!!!..Love Rusty

O' Christmas Tree

O Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree
How high up are your trimmings!

O Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree
How high up are your trimmings!

Before the pup, We trimmed your boughs
Close to the floor, As space allows

O Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree
How high up are your trimmings!

The balls aren’t glass, No tinsel yet..
After that last trip to the vet

O Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree
How high up are your trimmings

Empty boxes, Wrapped carefully,
Now barricade our Christmas tree

O Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree
How high up are your trimmings!

When pup is grown We’ll trim with glee
And have a normal Christmas tree

O Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree
How high up are your trimmings!

Canines begone... For all our Feline Friends.. MEOW..... Love - FredtheCat

Morning sistah. Lovely job. I posted this a few days ago but now that we have an official pet Christmas thread, it will come out again. As I don't have very many "christmasy pix" of my pets. I think I have some in photos (somewhere) that can be scanned eventually

This was Christmas 2002. We had a wonderful Christmas Eve Weather wise but the next day, the sky opened up on us & Mom & Oliver & I did n't go anywhere in the Van. We had close to 28 inches of fallen snow & drifts higher.

So we stayed home, I cooked "something" (we were to go out to families & I had nothing planned to eat. The rest of day played around w/pix & took Oliver & a few interested kitties out for a couple hour excursion in national park behind our home.

. Here is one of my mom & me the same day with; her Sunshine (kitty) Used the timer device & had quite a few churckes with this along the way and a a series of a dozen pix or so

What To Give God

Read:
Romans 12:1-8

Present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. —Romans 12:1

Bible In One Year: 1 John 1-2

cover In Romans 12:1, the apostle Paul applied the truths of what he had already written to the followers of Jesus in Rome. He said, "Present your bodies a living sacrifice." He also urged us to keep our bodies from sinning and to avoid the world's corruption by renewing our minds (v.2).

We are often told to give our hearts or our lives to Christ. So why did Paul call attention to our bodies?

If we are to carry out God's will, it will be with our bodies. Every pastor has members who say, "I won't be in the service next Sunday; we'll be up at the lake. But I'll be there in spirit." Unfortunately, the "spirit" will contribute nothing to the atmosphere of praise and worship.

We also offer God our bodies as a response to His love. The body is a gift worthy of God.

Consider the value of the human hand. The brilliant surgeon Dr. Paul Brand, in describing operations performed on the hand, said, "I don't know of a single operation anyone has devised that has succeeded in improving a normal hand. It's beautiful."

This Christmas, give God something beautiful. Offer Him not just your heart, but your hands, body, spirit, mind—your entire being! —Haddon Robinson

What can I give Him, poor as I am?
If I were a shepherd, I would bring a lamb;
If I were a wiseman, I would do my part;
Yet what can I give Him? Give Him my heart. —Rosetti

Jesus gave us all He had; we must give Him all we have.

Hey, Everybody!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

HAPPY HANNUKAH!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Won’t be able to be on much as I’m on my Christmas vacation and will be busy trying to get my apartment straightened up.

I hope to be online more in the evenings and the weekends in 2006. I’ll be having the addy for Free Republic deleted from my computer at work , due to new policies at work.

I just want to say you all have made my year great.

Now I hope 2006 will be a great year for all of us!

God bless and protect President Bush and his family from all harm both politically and physically!

God bless our troops and may they come home safe to the arms of their families

God bless America and all her allies!

One more thing:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JESUS!!!!!!
