Now hear this:

Thanks to John McCain, Free Republic will shut down tomorrow at high noon for 30 days. No non government approved electioneering messages may be transmitted over the internet for the 30 days immediately preceding a primary election.

That is all.

The above exercise was just a drill. But if John McCain has his way with his proposed rules for regulating political free speech on the internet, this is how we will be forced to operate in the coming election cycle and all election cycles in the future until we can get the unconstitutional McCain-Feingold act repealed.

I'm mad as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore!

If the thought of losing your right to express yourself online makes you mad, it is high time you let Senator John McCain know how you feel.

I think he's been in the NWO pocket for a long time.

Certainly the Keating thing only tightened their noose and puppet string connections.

Yes the flaws keep our Congress in control.

You are totally accurate.

No problem with your rant. Knowing me, I'd have just preferred it in bold red large font.

thanks.

At the time, certain left-wing groups (though their influence wasn't revealed until later) made it look like there was a groundswell of demand for campaign finance reform. Bush promised that if Congress put a bill in front of him, he would sign it. He recognized that it was unconstitutional, but signed it because he had said he would, assuming the USSC would throw it out. You all know where it went from there. (Scalia's dissent was especially . . readable!)

Excuses, excuses..If he knew it was unconstitutional, or even disagreed with it, he should have done what he was required to do, no matter the consequences. But Bush supporters will do anything to replace the blame won't they?

You're right. In his Oath of Office he swore to uphold the Constitution. There was nothing in there about doing so only when it was politically convenient.

Jim,

I think it would help tremendously have many more faxes, etc. sent

if the top header of this thread had links to the numbers and addy's for each politician.

Might also help to have some sample msgs/letters for those intimidaed about writing such.

Hate to bother you but I just think we need to do ALL WE CAN to MAXIMIZE assaulting Congress with fierce input from EVERY FREEPER AND LURKER.

THANKS TONS, in advance.

Write in support of that.

To undo another Bush mistake? I see Rep. Paul supported it, so I may. OTOH, it as I support neither facet of the one party system, it may be fun to watch partisans scramble to find new ways to get their 'message' out.

When all our property is seized and we are put in collective housing,...

Ah... this is going on NOW! It's just that PROPERTY TAXES take a few years to fully come to fruition.

That is wonderful.
I hope you realize my comment was positive.
Admonition is not a bad thing; it used to be common before folks got so sensitive.
It is a way that we encourage and help one another.
It is good to visit the thoughts and words of our founders often.
Their godliness shines through the sacred documents on which this country is founded.
God has blessed America.
As one of our FReeper FRiends says:
America, bless God.

This is no surprise to me. The US Constitution has been effectively meaningless for the last 70-odd years. It means no more to the elitists who rule over us today than the USSR constitution meant to Stalin and his commissars.

Whatever the ruling class wants to do, the USSC will find a way to justify it even if it is clearly forbidden by the text of the Constitution. How else can it be that the court finds Constitutional justification for McCain-Feingold and the taking of private property by local government simply for the purpose of increasing the tax base, yet it can't find anything in the 2nd Amendment that guarantees my right to keep and bear arms? Those people don't make those decisions because they're too stupid to read the Constitution correctly, they know exactly where they want the USA to go and how to it get there without having an insurrection on their hands.

John McLame whose war record makes Jon F'n Kerry look like Audie Murphy?

The original Manchurian candidate?

I can't believe that he can survive the Republican primaries. However all of Bush"s hench people seem to be lining up for jobs on little johnnny's campaign.

Passage of that bill should be the tripwire for the next "shot heard 'round the world"! Such an assault on free speech must not go unchallanged.

In regards to your private message.

I bought a Halley's Bible Hand Book about 30 years ago and recently purchased a more recent addition.

It's a great book and a fast read for 894 pages of jam packed information about the archeology of the area and what was happening at that specific time.

Has some great explanations also.

When I traveled to work in one of those countries where the religion of piece dominates, my bible was confiscated but not the Halley's book.

I found it to be of great solace.

NOT ARGUING AT ALL

That the puppet masters have a death grip on our political system, the media and our universities as well as too many of our churches, even.

Nevertheless, I prefer to light a candle vs curse the darkness.

I prefer to p*ss on the traitorous politicos vs against the wind, only! LOL.

Prayer is the most important thing we can do and way we can fight.

Then walk close to God and follow His instructions.

But we can AT LEAST make a noise about the traitorous, unConstitutional, unGodly actions of the NWO goons in WASH.

There's links on the FR home page.

But it would still facilitate more inputs to the idiot leaders to have it in the header.

A new thread would not achieve much of anything of just links.
