OLNEY FREEP -- SUCCESSFUL YEAR IN REVIEW: Week 52 - Olney,MD, 12-23-06: Operation Infinite FReep
Christmas Eve | TROOPRALLY

Posted on 12/24/2006 2:54:53 PM PST by trooprally

This YEAR IN REVIEW brings back a lot of memories. [Mrs] T and I have personally or virtually met some really great FReepers over the last year. Thank you all for your support. It sometimes gets lonely out on the corner. But when we read an AAR about a one person FReep, we feel blessed for our sometimes low attendance FReeps.

[Mrs] T and I cannot express the gratitude for the Prayer Threads. There are literally hundreds, sometimes thousands, of FReepers responding to a request for prayers, for someone they don't even know. While we are blessed to not have personally needed a Prayer Thread, some of our close FReeper FRiends have. A real close FReeper FRiend's son was in an accident in Texas this past January. There was a FReeper in the "area" who didn't know us or our FRiend. Several times she traveled 40 minutes one way to the hospital, just to deliver a multi-multi page printout of the son's Prayer Thread and to check if she could be of help. Damn, FReepers are good!!!

Closer to home is the Olney FReeps. Of course the Walter Reed FReeps, the FReeping of Fred Phelps' one-branch-family-tree clan, and the FReeping of Code Pink at Rumsfeld's House are great FReeps also, but Olney is [Mrs] T's and my "baby". And a sincere THANK YOU to everyone who has made Olney's FReeps so successful week after week, regardless of the cold, wind or rain.

Week 52's report follows the highlights of the past year.

Click for the History of the 1st. Olney FReep. But briefly, several FReepers coming to last year's D.C. Chapter Christmas Party saw the moonbats in Olney. If the turkey was not ready to come out of the oven, the Party would have moved into Olney. Not much thought was given to them till a week later when the local news showed a group of peaceniks throwing toy soldiers under the State Christmas trees in D.C. and posting the numer of dead soldiers on the security fence in front of the trees. The news identified the group as PeaceActionMC, for Montgomery County. A quick web search found them, and their notice of weekly protests in Olney. The Olney FReep was born.

The list of Olney attendees over the past year include FReepers:

3D-Joy (Florida); Apple Blossom & Daughter; BillF; BMWcyle & Daughter; BufordP; Cindy_True_Supporter (formerly Lurker Joan); Concretebob (Richmond, VA); Doctor Raoul (Phily Area); DollyCali (Chicago); Fraxinus; iMacMan & wife; Gate2Wire; GunsareOK (Roanake, VA); Iraqikurd; Justa A Nobody (Below Richmond, VA); Jimmy Valentines Brother; Mr.Mrs.RedWhiteBlue and 4 kids (our grand kids); Paltz; Kristinn; Species8472 (Alaska); Spiff (Arizona); UncleHamBone & wife (New Hampshire); TFroatz; Tolerance Sucks Rocks; and [Mr] & [Mrs] Trooprally.

Most of the other FReepers come from locales about an hour or less from Olney.

FR Lurkers (Not always real name): Lurker Bill (aka Bill from MD) and daughter; Lurker Ethel; Lurker George; Lurker Mark.

Local Legionnaires: Glenn (Iwo Jima, USMC); Halsy (Korea, USMC); Frank (Korea, Army)

LOCALS & FReeper Friends (Not always real name): Babs; Gavin; Glen & wife Carol; Lloyd; Mustafa; Samir; Steve; Stu;

I would like to thank BMWcyle and BufordP who wrote AARs in [Mrs] T's and my absence and for writing the Rapid Deployment Force's AARs. Thanks also go to the numerous FReepers' photoshop contributions, but especially \/\/ayne and Albion Wilde.

iMacMan penned the name "grumpies" for the moonbats.

Madison's/Stained Glass Pub2 no longer in business.

Doctor Raoul let us use one of his bullhorns, and Mr. Bull Horn was born, aka BMWcyle.

Some Special Weeks follow. CLICK PICS FOR LINK TO THREAD. Post No. 1 has links to all of the Olney Threads.

Pics this year (if my memory serves me correctly) were taken by BMWcyle, iMacMan, BufordP, and [Mrs] Trooprally. Thier pics have not been identified in this thread but Thank You for your time and support.

The first two weeks we mixed it up verbally with the moonbats on their corner. On the third week they finally retreated to the northeast corner while we stayed on the southwest corner.

BELOW LEFT: Week One -- moonbats are clueless as to what to do after we arrived on their corner. BELOW RIGHT: Week Two with GunsareOK next to moonbats.

Week 5: Doctor Raoul with gas mask and famous signs standing on his "stage". Thread has close ups of Doctor Raoul.

Week 12: Spiff talking to Legionnaire Halsey before going over to the moonbats and verbally engaging them. In background is a group of FReepers and Legionnaires on the northwest corner.

Week 13: Car with flag are big supporters of our troops. They made a u-turn several times and drove back past us. This is the first thread with iMacMan's famous pics of passing cars waving to us. The Billary transformation picture is also on Post No. 1 of this thread.

This most excellent photoshop pic by iMacMan had most FReepers fooled. The give away is the "Kilroy was here" in the lower corner.

Week 18: This week the "peaceful moonbats" accosted a jogger. The jogger eventually came over to our side. He said that a lot of the moonbats honks were just to get their attention so the passer-bys could yell at them or give them a one finger salute.

Week 20: The police come by to warn the "peaceful moonbats". The jogger didn't press charges as mentioned in Week 18, but we still sent a report and pictures to the police. The police finally arrived this week.

Week 21: Mr. & Mrs. Idiot Moonbat Contest. No individual winners here. Turns out it was a group win.

Week 25: Moonbats get a tongue lashing from a passer by.

Week 27: Token Bathing Beauties. These young ladies were from the local high school drumming up 'exposure' for their fund raiser.

Week 31: BMWcyle, aka Mr. Bull Horn, ever vigilante, watches the moonbats while verbally engaging them from our side of the intersection. He had one moonbat so irritated that she was yelling "Shut Up" at us. The chief moonbat talked to her for about 15 minutes before leaving her alone. Mr. Bull Horn is the reason the moonbats started to play games with their protest times in Week 32.

Week 32: BufordP's ingenious flip signs debut. They periodically reappear when our forces in Olney are sufficient to get them up. This great AAR is written by BufordP. This is also the first Saturday the moonbats played games with their time. While they won today, eventually they lost the battle once the Rapid Transformation Force was implemented.

Week 33: Moonbats have cut and run. They tried to allude us, but the Rapid Transformation Force found them. A big THANK YOU goes to those FReepers who did double time for the next 5 or 6 weeks as part of the RTF and the regular Olney FReep.

Week 34A: "Red Alert, Red Alert, Deploy the Rapid Transformation Force!!!!" BMWcyle informing the FRaiders at the Olney Bunker. This is the first week of the RTF deployment. We met the moonbats EVERY time they changed their time. Eventually they settled down to their current time. AAR by BMWcyle.

Week 45: Jimmy Valentines Brother on the northeastern front, warning drivers of exactly who is ahead. Also in this AAR, BMWcyle has water thrown at him from an irritate cyclist, also, our now ex-FReeper, exposing himself here, attends his last moonbat protest, and the now famous soldier's poster of "Jon Carry's" words makes its debut. What a Saturday.

Our wish for Year Two: Increase the Olney regulars to 8 so that we are better able to verbally engage the moonbats, so that they will go back to their Meetinghouse down the road and get off the main intersection in Olney.

WEEK 52:
The rain from Friday night at Walter Reed ended earlier than expected. And it was fairly warm.

The highlight of the day was Santa Claus. Miraculously he arrived as we did. The kids in the passing cars eagerly waved back. Most parents had a smile of approval, except one. He determinedly gave Santa the middle finger salute. It wasn't a quick up and down similar to his personal experience. He held it up for the whole time he drove by, shaking it more than twice.

[Mrs] T had a lady stop, backing traffic up behind her, to say enthusiastically, THANK YOU FOR BEING OUT HERE. She said that she has already received the best Christmas present ever, 3 of her family members are back safely from Iraq. A car also stopped and talked to JVB. Hopefully he'll post what was said.

Those in attendance include Cindy_True_Supporter (CTS), Jimmy Valentines Brother (JVB), [Mrs] Trooprally ([Mrs] T), and Santa. All pics for this section were by [Mrs] T.

We also had two semi-trucks blast their air horns and we had several "Merry Christmas" yelled to us. And we also had our numerous excellent responses from cars and SUVs.

For those regulars who stand on the corner and get excited about the small things, we had nine, count them, 9, waves or honks from vehicles turning left from west bound Rte. 108 to go south on Georgia Avenue. The previous record was 6.

BELOW TOP: Our Merry Christmas sign proudly displayed at the lower edge of the pic. BELOW BOTTOM: JVB in Lurker Bill's position with moonbats card that they gave us. More on letter in posts. Lurker Bill was not here today. It is rumored that he "marks" his spot every night. I guess with the rain Friday night, his scent got washed away and he couldn't find his way to the corner. Seriously, Lurker Bill was helping his church give out 180 Christmas dinners to needy families.

BELOW TOP: Santa in shades?? No cigars today. BELOW BOTTOM: CTS enjoying herself.

BELOW TOP: Moonbats are preoccupied with something Peek-A-Boo2 gave them. She left immediately with a seemingly quick, determined walk after giving envelopes out. BELOW BOTTOM: What the moonbats are really thinking their signs should say. After all, they don't have any flags or Christmas Cheer.

REMEMBER
Next Saturday, same place, Georgia Avenue, MD Rte. 97 and MD Rte. 108 in Olney
NEW TIME - 10:15 AM to 11:45 AM

As always, the D.C. Chapter's rules for protesting will be in effect. Briefly, they are: No violence, no profanity, no racism, no provocations, obey the law and treat all law enforcement officers with respect.

The below card was given to Jimmy Valentines Brother from the moonbats. Who would have thought they would be sooooo giving??

Problem is, their "peaceful world" doesn't include FREEDOM for all.

You're Welcome. There are a lot on CPs and moonbats in the D.C. area. We're grateful for all those out of towners who take time from their vacations/work trips and stand with us.

What a great look back on the Olney FReeps of this year. A wonderful job, as always!

May God bless all of your PATRIOT hearts with love, good health and happiness today and throughout the coming new year.
May God also bless the misguided and duped Quakers, whose national leadership has been over-run by leftists and moonbat "peaceniks". May He open their eyes to the truth.

Sisku

Glad you enjoyed the look back. Yea, the Quakers seem to have been duped and their beliefs taken over.

Have a good one tomorrow.

Hey DR -

Sure glad you you found peace of mind in the truth after facing the moonbats. Your suit coat and tie recently at Walter Reed was a refreshing change. :-))
