I was listening to the news out of the corner of my ear when I heard FreeRepublic specifically mentioned as a "hate site" about fifteen minutes ago.
Ostensibly the long report was about the Klan using the web to recruit new wackos. Then the focus turned to Casa Maryland, and their director who claimed that calls for his murder had circulated on the internet by anti-immigrant bigots. It was then that the anchor identified FR by name as a hate site.
Yeah... What he said! (Thank you, Kevmo!).

I tried to call your attention to a mistake, and now on top of rudely blowing off the person you DID offend, you are making this into WAY more than it needed to be. Oreilly used Kristinn to castigate FR. He did so, according to some, to give the appearance of being “balanced.” I disagree with this assessment. I believe he did so because he has some sick perverted vendetta against FR. BOR has been exposed many times here as a blow hard hooligan. Perhaps that is what got his angst in a wad. Many recognize him for what he is, an entertainer making lots of money. (Nothing wrong with that...sadly many don’t realize it’s just entertainment...they perceive it as gospel.)
Every freeper who has been here anytime at all knows without shadow of doubt that FR does not allow hate filled posts. (Well, except the ones regarding the people we are currently engaging in world war...I find myself guilty as charged.) Oreilly used FR as a tool to boost his ratings and his email. His numbers no doubt spiked. Postive or negative is not a factor for the so called “factor.” It’s a numbers game he plays well. And he doesn’t care who gets caught in his crossfire so long as he produces the numbers. Nor does his boss.
The truth? Numbers have nothing to do with the truth.
He is certainly an entertainer of sorts . . .
I don’t know confidently about his motives.
I deplore to the max his treatment of FR.
His integrity on that score hit rock bottom, imho.

Initially I too was struck by his anecdotal rants which seemed to have a conservative twist. But it didn’t take me long to read him. He survives by the numbers. And yes, he is doing swell. He’s just not fooling me.

What a moron most of the MSM is . . . FOX News Channel may be reasonable, but for some reason (and I find this too with my local Philly - FOX 29 - channel) the FOX local affilate channels are dreadful. . .

He needs to take out his frustrations on Keith Olberman, not FR. Olberman despises O'Reilly - maybe KO has a point (no fan of his either).
I will only watch his show, so I know what products not to buy.

IMO, FR is not a hate site but exactly opposite. <> We LUV this country and we are in all the sellouts’ way. That is it.
What makes no sense at all is that Michelle Malkin guest hosts The Factor. MM was the person who gave out the Spanish toll free number to congress. Tons of freepers called congress to say No to the Senate amnesty/immigration bill. There was a call to action thread derived from MM’s info. I think she may be a freeper. He IS a pinhead.

I think that O’Reilly is actually intimidated by Michelle. Michelle knows what she’s talking about.
I couldn’t find it in my pings, which puzzled me. I had it cached in my history, and when I went back, it said the thread had been pulled.
Unfortunately, it was completely unexpected, and I forgot to look at the reason why...I thought later that might have been kind of funny to see what the reason was...something like “This thread has been pulled for graphic display of sexual genitalia...”
Or something like that...:)
