Six years later, and it's still hard to believe it was real. Giant airplanes slamming into the sides of high-rise office buildings at 500 mph, leaving vaguely wing-shaped gashes behind.
-snip-
On that day, 19 young meninhabitants of our country, recipients of our hospitality, beneficiaries of our prosperity, wearing modern clothes to cloak a primitive hatred turned planes into missiles, passengers into war casualties, and a beautiful Tuesday morning into a day that changed the world forever. They killed 3,000 people that day.
But some people don't believe that. The theorizing started long before the dust had settled on a national graveyard at Ground Zero. Six years later, the 9/11 "Truthersas they're called will be out in force at that very graveyard, on hallowed ground, peddling their theories, disseminating the "Truth."
The most recent poll on the matter a Zogby poll taken this month showed that fully 42 percent of Democrats polled believe that Bush either caused 9/11 or let it happen.
For that reason, even though the real truth about 9/11 is utterly and completely obvious to the rest of us, the Truthers must be countered. Their myths must be met with facts. I'll be at Ground Zero today.
-snip-
The all-out Truthers will never be satisfied, but it's incumbent upon real patriots Democrat and Republican alike who know the real truth about 9/11 to defend that truth with facts, lest we lose more everyday Americans to the seduction of the Truthers.
Sept. 11, 2001 was surreal. It was hard for every American to believe. That doesn't mean we have license to ignore reality. Doing so just puts us in danger again.

Bah, I hit them in the face.
That's why the facts must be disseminated just as widely as the conspiracy propaganda.
Ridicule and biting humor are effective, too.
Heard the one about the 9/11 Truther?
He saw the sun rise, and posted “Bush’s Fault!” at MoveOn.org.
I need to buy a Taser.
What gets me is the number of people who would just accept conspiracy theories without doing the homework to make an intelligent decision.
Just $%@$$^*%* me off.
Thanks for letting me vent... >:o(
The truthers should be all put into nice white straitjackets and given meds.
1) Novice pilots couldn't have flown the planes into buildings.
2) The fires couldn't have melted WTC 1 and 2, therefore they had to have been taken down with explosives.
3) The WTC 7 collapse couldn't have been caused by structural damage so it was taken down by explosives too.
4) Flight 93 was shot down.
5) The Pentagon was really struck by a missile.
We're dealing with some 32nd degree moonbats here.
See post 5.
Good info., but it’s really not that helpful when dealing with Troofer. Those losers are literally mentally ill and/or deficient. No amount of facts will convince them or shift them away from their delusional stupidity.
Very good observations.
“Baaaaaa...”
Wait to spit on them until after you hit them in the face.
The problem with NOT debunking them, especially on blogs/websites and in group settings, is the others who see this disgusting trash repeated on site after site, and succumb to it.
It needs to be debunked, live and in person...each and every time it occurs.

I’m trying to remember the really weird one I heard. That Bush ordered the hit...?
Flight 93....had it continued and been in range of DC...might have eventually been shot down. There was a “intercept” in progress and some folks often debate that had the plane still been in the air 8-10 minutes later...it would have been up to the fighter-intercept whether they would have shot them down. My guess is that the fighter would have damaged the wing enough to force it down.
All that is pretty nifty for a doofas like Bush. Then he followed it up with the Katrina/NOLA nastiness. Wow...for a dumbass, he can wreck a lot of crap.
