As many of my fellow FReepers know, I've been a staunch supporter of Dr. Alan Keyes for a number of years.
As some of you know, I've been serving as his political director since his entry into the race in September.
Throughout this vastly accelerated election cycle, I've been very critical of this presidential field, showing many here how to do their homework, so that they could truly know who these men really are, what their records consist of, and what their agendas are likely to be if they should be elected president.
Dr. Keyes shared this same dissatisfaction, which is why he entered the race.
Below, you will find a link to a rather large pdf file of a newspaper all Iowans will be getting a chance to read before Caucus Day on the 3rd.
[If you're on dialup, I would warn you that you're likely to be waiting for quite some time.]
If you're a Christian, a true conservative, a pro-lifer, an advocate for the Reagan pro-life GOP platform, and if you'll take the time to read it, I don't know how you can reach any other conclusion about this election than the one I've reached:
Alan Keyes is the complete Reagan conservative, he's the only candidate with the foreign policy and national defense experience we need in the coming years, he's the only one who actually understands the internal threats to our republican form of government, and he's the only one who has the God-given ability to communicate the comprehensive conservative agenda effectively to the American people.
He's simply the best man for the job.
God bless all of you, and Merry Christmas!
Please pray for our country as we enter this critical election.
‘The election’s just starting’ ping...
maybe Obama can stomp him twice
Or maybe America isn’t Illinois.
He will get my vote when Hell freezes over.
Slave reparations are taking money from the treasury and doling it out ala Lyndon Johnson’s Great Society. Alan Keyes never advocated anything like that. In fact, he advocated just the opposite: He wants to free the black community, and all Americans, from the Left’s plantation.
it always amazes me, that people who have no shot of winning elections continue their futile attemps.
What was the final tally in the senate race. 70/30?
Is that some sort of racial reference? I don’t get it.
I was a Keyes supporter even after the fiasco in Maryland, but after Illinois, I’m fully cured.
Keyes has shown he’s just in it for the money. He’s probably laughing at you because you haven’t caught on yet.
Want a Black? There are at least 3 others that would at least try to put on a credible campaign. Go look up one of them (Steele, Cain, Watts)
At least he had the guts to take on Obama, the supporter of infanticide. That’s a badge of honor. Of course, your taste may run to those who have never sacrificed or risked anything for conservatism. So be it.
You're just wrong.
How heartening for the Paultards, now that Alan has thrown his hat in, Ron is no longer in last place.
I don't "want a black." I want a conservative.
I like Keyes but he has as much chance to win as I do.
What he advocated was for Blacks to not have to pay income tax for 2 generations (and we know, like the voting rights act, it would be extended indefinitely after that). He wasn't even able to buy Black votes with that, while offending his white base.
He's too inept to support.
He would make for a most formidable ambassador to, oh say, The Falklands in a Thompson administration.
I’m more for Hunter than Keyes (both are solid Conservatives) but what PRINCIPLES do you consider are important in the candidates?
And what are you doing to fight for those principles, rather than leave all the heavy lifting to the brave ones who throw their hat into the ring?
The Miami Dolphins of politics
Then you need to keep looking. I'd suggest you look at Cain, Steele or Watts.
