The latest video of the assassination, from another angle, provides evidence that Benazir Bhutto was killed by an assassin’s bullet.
You know, when I heard that she didn’t get shot, the first thing I thought was that they were trying to make it sound like al queda wasn’t successful in an attempt to discourage them, or at least not let them take credit for it.
Personally, I suspect she was shot, but that’s just me.
Finally a smattering of truth comes out.
Troubles a’brewin’.
The bottom line: is she still dead?
Maybe my eyes were bad, but I couldn’t tell if she was shot or not.
I did certainly hear what sounded like three shots followed by the suicide bomber’s explosion. That, and the earlier video and stories, suggest that the plan was to shoot her and then blow up the shooter as well as the crowd, to prevent an arrest or identification of who was responsible.
It still seems possible that the shots missed, although now I wonder if a healthy person would be likely to kill herself with a bumped head when ducking back into the car.
I also wonder if Musharref will follow up on yesterday’s offer to exhume her so people can have a look. And I still don’t see what he gains by arguing the point. She was still basically killed by the Taliban terrorists.

The guy was within touching distance of her SUV when he fired. Very hard to believe he could have missed three times. There does appear to be a physical reaction to at least one of the shots; and she clearly falls before the bomb goes off. There is no blood or spray from the bullets visible in the shooting sequence though.
In the video, the white hood covering her head flew off just before she disappeared. It went forward, shot off by the man behind her.
If the bomb had caused her to strike her head against the lever, there would be bomb fragments on her head and clothes. No need to exhume her, just check her clothing for particles like those that splattered all over the exterior of the SUV.

It, very much, does appear that she could have been shot in this video. I heard three shots, and I saw the flash.
However, in the next sequence shown, about 2:30 into the vid, I hear four shots. One. One, two three. Like that.
I don’t know. Maybe this thread will have to be moved into the “Undead” thread before all is said and done.
Hard to be sure but it looks as though she falls slightly to the right, yet the govt claims she sustained the wound on her left side by hitting the sunroof lever.

Well, no it’s not, when you hear about police and crooks shooting it out with one another (in various different settings) and missing each other. I remember one instance where there were about 20 shots fired (by the police at close range) and nothing hitting the criminal. LOL!
So, from the many reports I’ve heard over the years, it’s very easy to believe that someone could shoot three times and miss on all of the shots.

I would stop looking for videos of this stuff. Latest reports are that a lot of them are put up by malware folks to infect your machine. I read about this on www.hardocp.com

Yes, and that’s why it doesn’t matter in terms of exactly how she was killed, when either it could have been by a bomb or by a bullet. In both cases, they were done by the same group (which seems to be al Qaida). The fact that they had a shooter and a bomber was just to make doubly sure (i.e., “increase their odds”) of succeeding.
Now, I don’t think that people should ignore exactly what mechanism killed her. They should find out. However, once they find out, it won’t change the fact that al Qaida was the group behind it and that they tried before, a few months back and they were going to constantly go after her until they succeeded.
