The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey in Florida shows former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney earning 33% of the vote while Arizona Senator John McCain attracts 27%.The poll was conducted Saturday afternoon before Florida Governor Charlie Crist announced his endorsement of McCain and the race is fluid enough that both men have a realistic chance of winning on Tuesday. Rasmussen Markets data showed that expectations for a McCain victory rose following the Crist announcement.

Is it true that Fred has endorsed Romney. It is on the CNN crawl.

Kick in mckennedy’s ass one New York slimes endorsement. Kick in the ass number two: Palm Beach Post endorsement.
Final kick in the ass Charlie crist endorsement. Any one of these would be trouble. Any two together would be flashing red lights, but all three equals a knock out punch for the engineer of the double talk express.
No, Mitt was not my first choice, but I’ll be dipped in shiite if I want amnesty juan as our nominee.

Excellent analysis.... you must have some experience in this arena! :-)

Two questions:

1) Is Rudy now history? Or, will his early-vote dominance be able to save him in Florida?

2) How long can/will Huckaby stick around and keep spitting the vote?

Rasmussen is quite accurate. I believe he called 2004 very accurately, while the ohters used those bogus exit pools.

per the above post, someone saw a CNN craw saying Thompson is endorsing Romney.

No confirmation.

No Breaking sound.

Seems this would be huge with two days to the race.

Gee...how STRANGE that the LameStream Media wouldn't trumpet this endorsement, if it is true.

A Thompson endorsement of Romney might kind of ECLIPSE the endorsement of Charlie Crist, wouldn't it?!?

Let me say again...Rudy is winning in Florida.

And today the pollsters are trying to pick the candidate the donkeys can beat in November. If it was Rudy he'd be the candidate they'd pick to win Florida.

Fred would probably be AG. I don’t think he is well enough to be VP.

1) Guilliani can hang on if McCain loses FL. If McCain does, his lead in NY will fade and Guilliani can perhaps take those WTA delegates there and NJ and be marginally competitive. If McCain wins FL, Guilliani’s polling in NY collapses and he drops out.

2) Huckabee will try to win MO. More than anything else, MO is his goal — because it is WTA. Everywhere else in the south is going to split votes regardless of FL. If he can win MO he gets their WTA total and can pretend to remain a player.

But make no mistake overall. If Romney wins Tuesday in FL, McCain’s and Huckabee’s spigot will close. The critical event after FL is later this week when finance reports have to be filed on the 31st. That will be the last chance before Feb 5 for people to go after “buying the nomination” mantra. However, if Romney is raising, say more than 2X what he lends the campaign, he looks pretty clean.

That’s possible, I think we’ll be seeing Thompson in the administration somewhere if not VP. Whoever it is will most likely will be from down South.

Say what you want - Mitt is a candidate that I might not agree with on each and every subject, but I can RESPECT him and his wife. I won’t have to be worrying about him drinking and doping and running around on his wife. I won’t have to worry about him cursing and throwing things and having temper tantrums.
A moral President is very important to me. They tend to appoint people with integrity to cabinet positions.

If you remember when the Clintons were in office not only were they lacking in the basic moral values that most Americans hold dear, but they made sure that everyone they appointed to the cabinet were extremely liberal and also lacking in morals. Their cabinet was setup using the principals of organized crime.Tthey surrounded themselves with people that were afraid of having things exposed about their finances or personal life. That way no one would have the courage to tell the truth about them.
Just like the mafia the people that dared to speak out were either killed or destroyed. That is why they needed the FBI files. To set up their empire.

The Debate helped Mitt. He was sensational. It was almost like Russert and Williams planned it that way.

actually, I think they had planned to do him in. The questions about his wealth and his faith were meant to alienate him from the voters. However, he turned the tables on them and answered the question superbly.

Romney governed Massachusetts as conservatively as possible. No Republican will ever be able to govern a state in the northeast as conservatively as he could a state in the south or mountain west. The Republican governors you should be concerned about are governors in the south who govern like Democrats. They have no excuse.

I agree... this “wide-open” Republican race is going to get VERY settled, VERY fast if Romney wins in Florida.

I have always refused to believe that McCain could be nominee of this party. I’m amazed, still, that he has come this close. But, eventually.. Conservatives WILL be heard. And they won’t be voting for McCain.

But... if Guliani somehow wins Fla... the race continues...
