Barack Obama wants to institute a Civilian National Security Force, a vast militia not unlike Iran’s Revolutionary Guard, a personal army. He knows he would need such a force to protect him and to enforce his will on Americans.
Americans will have not seen such arbitrary power used against them since the days of the Civil War when Lincoln put the Constitution in the bottom drawer of his desk and set about arresting anyone who opposed his policies to enforce the Union on southern States seeking secession. The moral issue was slavery. The Constitutional issue was states rights.
If you want to see another civil war, just wait for this new security force to come into being. Obama would need it because the concept of posse comitatus forbids the use of the U.S. military to enforce laws within the nation. An army of domestic followers of “the One” would fill that need, assuming that all other law enforcement agencies failed to resist such a horrendous plan.

NO! The name National Guard is misleading.
The “National Guard” is each individual state’s military. When it is not operating under federal call up it is under the command of the governer of its state. When it is “federalized”, such as for duty in Iraq, it is under the command of the President but is also subject to posse comitatus. The posse comitatus act does NOT apply when under command of the governor. That is why a state can use their own National Guard for enforcement actions such as suppressing riots and looting and so on.
Obama’s federal force would answer only to him. Very dangerous to liberty.

Alexander Solzhenitsyn had stated in his text that Stalin, early on, would have gotten nowhere if people had resisted. The early NKVD sent “squads” of only 4-5 men to pound on the doors at 3 am. He (Solzhenitsyn) said that IF they had only laid in ambush with pick axes and knives the whole tragedy of the gulag would be a different story indeed. Stalin would have run out of willing thugs early on.
In the beginning the dictator’s henchmen were few in number, same with the Nazi’s.
There will always be a few brainwashed soldiers, sadistic policemen and treasonous politicians who would advocate “arresting” free thinkers and hauling them away in trucks.
At the end of day these traitors still have to go home, which is next door to you & me (and a few million others). I believe that the vast majority of the police and military will side with the Constitution, their neighbors and their families.
Thugs will always side with their paycheck, benefits and pension - make them be the ones afraid to leave their house.
IF this whole idea of a ‘civilian security force” comes into being, you will need to decide now where you stand.

I’m betting the vast majority of those 50% have never read the Constitution. If you asked them what Posse Comitatus was they would think it is a new rap group.
A pro McCain supporter came to my house the other day and I told her that this is the first Presidential election I have voted in that I was genuinely fearful. And I am!
I give credit to the left for being able to accomplish fantastic usurpation of power and the ability to destabilize legitimate governments, and that includes OURS! The left is expert at using the power of the Government to control and punish. Obama's allies and mentors are salivating for the chance to get the levers of power and the useful fools in America might just accommodate them on Tuesday.

The happy times for Democrats might come back as with the Clintons. Obama would control the DOJ and IRS, and he would have unlimited amounts of money to hire private investigators to investigate, blackmail, and intimidate any person, public or private, who might disagree with him. However, people of the left prefer incarceration and execution over conversion. It’s quicker and more to the point.

If Obama and the Rats discard the Constitution that frees our military from civilian control.
Then our military can finally! defend our Republic against domestic enemies -- and who might they be?

Now, that being said I highly doubt it will happen. The puppet masters behind Obama's rise from zero to hero are trying to take over the country without a shot being fired. They are patient. We are the frog in the water, it is more than room temperature but far from boiling.
I do not personally know anyone serving in the military today but I strongly disagree that "it" can happen here.
I do however worry a little about the state and federal civilian "it all counts toward 30" crowd -- a minority I am sure but dangerous.

Absolutely true. Likewise the Nazis would have had a much harder time of it in the early 30's when they were still weak. Hannah Arendt mentions in her Origins of Totalitarianism of the 'atomization' of the society, the view of the common citizen that they are alone, that they are helpless against the overwhelming power of events. Keep them feeling that way through terror and propaganda, and you can grab the troublemakers one at a time, with little or no resistance. Read stories in the paper of an innocent victim of an assault which occurs in front of hundreds, who do nothing. "What can I do?" "Not my problem." etc. Organization wins out over atomization every time.
One of the first priorities of an Obama administration would be to discredit and humiliate our military to such a point as to encourage massive retirements & resignations among the senior enlisted and officer ranks.
This will be done (among other things) by slashing defense funding, ensuring defeat in Iraq/ Afghanistan, and then blaming the military for the disasters. Throw in a dozen ‘Somalia’ type defeats and presto; a military with no morale, no leadership, and no direction.
With full cooperation from a Rat dominated congress (possible super majority), the decimation of the U.S. military will be complete and at levels even worse than ‘The Carter Days’.
Now to the core of my theory. As civil unrest intensifies and a reluctant, disorganized, military (including the National Guard) appear powerless to ‘keep the peace’, what is a dictator who hates his country to do?
I think Obama’s solution would be to suspend the U.S. Constitution and surrender our national sovereignty to the whims of the U.N., aka ‘Nations United Against America’.
How prepared will you be when the Blue Helmet Brigade comes marching through your town to enforce the international law of the New World Order??
