Snubbed by Palin, Oprah is fuming now
Oprah Winfrey has slammed Sarah Palin after the failed Republican vice-presidential candidate snubbed offers to appear on the chat queen’s show. While Palin did make an appearance on other US hosts Greta Van Susteren, Matt Lauer and Larry King’s shows to talked about her unsuccessful bid to reach the White House, but she ignored ‘The Oprah Show’ despite being invited.
And such mistreatment has left Oprah bitter and she has now claimed that the Alaskan governor will be desperate to talk to her when she releases her memoirs.
"I said I would be happy to talk to Sarah Palin when the election was over... I went and tried to talk to Sarah Palin and instead she talked to Greta. She talked to Matt. She talked to Larry. But she didn't talk to me. Maybe she'll talk to me now that she has a (multi-million dollar) book deal,” Contactmusic quoted Oprah as saying.
The US TV titan has been a committed supporter of US President-elect Barack Obama throughout his campaign for the White House.
She will also host her show from Washington, D.C. the day before his inauguration in January (09).

Well, I guess you're going to have a big ego when you are producing a magazine each month about yourself!
It isn't just the money and the celebrity status. It's the attitude some of these people have. Celebrities have been around since the beginning of time. People like Jimmy Stewart and John Wayne had world wide recognition but still displayed a great sense of humility! We could use more celebrities like them!

Why would anyone with an ounce of self-respect go on Oprah or the View or any of these?
Go where you will get a respectful hearing, and a respectful opportunity to speak your piece. If you aren’t going to get that, why bother in the first place? If you are only going to be treated shabbily and embarrassed in front of millions, why would you bother?
Conservatives need to get some self-respect, and need to favor those few vestiges of adult and objective media that still exist.
I saw these exact comments that Orca made on Inside Edition last night. They were at a Hollywood lucnheon (possibly for the Oscars or something)
I’m electing to snub the Oprah myself by not watching her Liberal BS. I hope more Americans choose to dump her as well.

Palin is playing at the adult table. why would she want to sit at the kiddie/teen table with someone that was actively and openly working against her?

This is all about over-exposing Palin and turning her into a quasi-celebrity, which will alienate her supporters. That’s why Oprah (and Letterman, Leno, etc) are all begging for her to appear on their shows. It also explains why there were a bunch of BS news articles about Palin by the MSM (”Palin hottest GOP star!”)

Palin doesn’t need the Daytime TV Queen of the Welfare Louts.
Who watches this stuff anyway? Everyone I know works and doesn’t have time to sit on their duffs watching an hour of brain-draining blather.
I stopped watching that bloated harpy years ago. I hate the way that she looks at herself in the monitor....and when she attempts a joke, or uses FAKE self-deprecating humor, notice how she ALWAYS looks to make sure the audience is laughing. She makes my skin crawl.
