Ann Coulter was just on Fox and Friends. She was crying over the fact that Romney got decimated in South Carolina. She offered a few talking points from the Romney camp including:
1. Newt is the lease conservative of all Candidates running. 2. Newt is unelectable because of his failed marriages. 3. The Freddy Mac non-issue. 4. John K asked a legitimate question and he is a completely fair and honorable reporter. 5. South Carolina is going back to it democratic roots and backing someone who calls Obama a socialist.
She laid out the establishment talking point that everyone who voted for McCain, will vote for Romney, that we need to get the independents.
Coulter’s “Crank!” remark did it for me. Some things are deal killers. Since then every few weeks or so Coulter says or does something to prove that she is completely untrustworthy as a conservative. Her support for Romney is merely the latest in a long string of incidents.
They are the very foundation of the party ~ the first element in a party founded with residual elements of the Whig party.
A RINO is something else ~ mostly a person who runs as a Republican because he's in an area devoid of Republicans and can buy his way on the ticket ~ without getting shot (a real issue in the pre-modern Souf').
We do have some Republicans who are here as a matter of convenience, not belief, but not all regular and traditional Republicans are members of the other three Conservative movements allied with the Republican coalition.
Just because they aren't YOUR KIND doesn't mean they don't belong here.

You make some very good points. Still, my biggest issue with Coulter is the venom she displayed for those Americans defending the Constitution over Obama’s eligibility.

Horsesh*t. I don't believe Obama is an NBC. I simply don't like to see FReepers repeat demonstrably false Internet rumors and made it a goal to see that stop. It mostly has. Now the discussion is focused on his NBC status and I support that discussion 100%.

I'm not defending Ann's support of Romney. She is dead wrong. I also never supported her characterization of birthers as cranks.
It's perfectly acceptable to question her judgment. What I take issue with is the trashy, vile insults that are beneath FReepers.
She has done a good job of exposing liberals for the Godless people they are. (Her book Treason was excellent.) She has exposed the truth about Senator McCarthy to millions. Likewise Venona. She has done many good things.
I don’t take issue with questioning her judgment on Romney or Newt. It’s fair game. She put herself out there to be criticized.
But the vile, trashy comments are unconscionable.
You could very well be right. Also, look at the men she’s dated....leftwingers, hardly what one would call “real” men. Ann may feel threatened by, or simply dislike, strong conservative men.

Ann is awesome – period. I do not think she’s in LOVE with Romney – neither am I. He, in her opinion, (one I share), is that Romney is merely the most electable. Newt IS NOT the conservative we need.

Just in case you missed the last debate, I suggest you listen to Newt take on / down John King and the SRM. He took that first question and hit a home run with his answer. He has the spine we need to take on 0 bummer. IBTZ!
