Helpful? Nope. Truth, yes, which isn’t always helpful. We as a nation turned our back towards God.

He in turn turned His towards us. Before anyone gets all high and mighty, how many of you send your kids to the public school system?

Every freakin parent I know screams high and mighty about the school system....but yet won’t speak up cause they “don’t want to make waves”.

Enjoy the ride folks.

absolutely

we as a nation have abandoned God in the most serious way

gay marriage, abortion, promoting adultery, sodomy, fornication, lying, stealing

Gosh, the list is a mile long

We have changed the truth of God for a lie

and our nation is ABSOLUTELY getting a spanking as a last resort to make us repent and return to Him in sackcloth and ashes!

Never mind Michelle,

If one believe the Bible and the hierarchy of heaven: The natural disasters in the South/Bible Belt—IMO were not God’s judgement, but may have been Satan using his powers, after all he does have dominion over the earth and uses that dominion to his advantage. (see Tony Evans and “The Battle is the Lord’s)

Events are of men and their mistakes/intentions and evil souls, IMO.

and our nation is ABSOLUTELY getting a spanking as a last resort to make us repent and return to Him in sackcloth and ashes!

So when 6,000 people were killed in the Galveston hurricane in 1900, what were we getting punished for?

Or was it just that we stupidly put a considerable-sized city on a sandbar without a seawall in a hurricane-prone area and ignored warnings about the storm from the Cubans?

The idea that any human being alive in the last 500 years would blame human or man-made disasters on some sort of divine punishment is silly. We have much better explanations for things, though they don't make people feel better the way that believing some deity did it does.

She was speaking at a prayer meeting—not a presser.

It doesn't matter. She got covered anyway.

but may have been Satan using his powers,

There's something called "meteorology" largely based on things called "physics" and "mathematics" - may want to check into those.

You can actually mostly predict bad weather things happening with those, remarkably. Trying to predict them by analyzing Satan, you'll find, doesn't work so well.

The answer is of course, no.

your refusal to believe that God chastens a nation for sin is what is the bad thing here

When a nation is right with God, they do not suffer

Our nation has been declining left and right, financially, morally, world prestige, our personal freedoms

it is the LACK of Biblical values in the people, the lack of people fearing God and hating sin that is causing all this

you ignore that in your own peril

“We have much better explanations for things,”

no - YOU think you do

and won’t allow for opinions from others

you worship your god science and let others worship theirs

“The bricks are fallen down, but we will build with hewn stones: the sycomores are cut down, but we will change them into cedars.”

These words were first uttered by leaders in Israel and in response to a limited strike by Assyria on the lands of Zebulun and Naphtali – an attack the prophet makes clear is actually part of a limited judgment by God against apostasy. It wasn’t meant to destroy the nation, but to awaken it, according to most commentaries.”

—It wasn’t meant to destroy the nation, but to awaken it—

Isaiah 9:10—“The Harbinger”

Remember the flap several years ago when Rev. Pat Robertson issued a warning to the city of Orlando because it flew rainbow flags from city lamp posts during Disney's "Gay Days"?

He said the city's action would bring about a judgement from God..."in the form of terrorist bombs, an earthquake, tornadoes or possibly a meteor", any one of which would devastate Orlando as punishment.

Only a buffoon of a false god deals with collective punishments. It speaks of its impotence in being able to discern and deliver precise justice, more than anything else. Such gods prove themselves to be the creations of the minds of humans with a control addiction.
