Reuters - Five large explosions hit central Baghdad just after dawn. Bombing very fierce. Overnight bombing hit eastern approaches to the city. Now bombing southeast, southwest, and central Baghdad. Thick curtain of black smoke from southwest to northwest Baghdad. More oil trenches lit.
Every day of the Iraq war, a group at Free Republic has been watching the live webcam in Baghdad. There's a man who tends the camera...we call him Ahmed.When things have calmed down, could you please have Ollie (or someone) seek out Ahmed and interview him? Tell him he took good care of our camera and we're grateful.
