Prayer Request for A Tiny Baby (Update in post #12850)
Myself | 8-11-03 | Brad's Gramma

Posted on 08/11/2003 12:57:30 PM PDT by Brad’s Gramma

If you will, please remember this tiny baby in your prayers. He’s the grandson of a very dear friend of mine. Logan was born on July 25. His due date was in October, making his mommy 26 weeks along, being born 3 months and 3 days early.

Logan was 1 lb 9.4 oz when he was born and is now weighing, as of this morning, 1 lb. 8.3 oz. The little guy is now 12-1/2” long.

He’s a real trooper and is fighting with all his little body can fight with. His Grandma said that he’s starting to recognize his mommy when she comes in the room and hears her voice. She said he tries so hard to open his eyes, and starts kicking his feet.

I asked my friend if there were any specific prayers, other than the obvious…and this is her reply…” A prayer of thanks for the miracle called "Logan.”

On a personal note, I’ve read the emails daily from my friend. I’ve known her for years, I’ve heard her talking about her family for years…but I’ve got to tell you that I’m SO impressed with how her children have all banded together in support. What an incredibly wonderful and loving family.

Father God, we lift up Logan’s little body to you. We pray that you can strengthen him hourly, daily, weekly, until he’s grown enough to go home with his precious family. We ask for guidance for the doctors and nurses who are caring for him. We ask for strength for his parents and extended family. Thank you so much for the gift of life. In Jesus’ Name, Amen

Fellow Freepers…….I bring you Logan!!!

I'll smack the Cowboy up the side of the head if he DOES hold a grudge against Yanks. So THERE!

Bless his heart. Har!

I am soooo happy for Logan and how well he is doing.

PLEASE RETHINK THE INOCULATIONS. They are meant for perfectly healthy full termers and you can always be LATE for them. PLEASE, PLEASE realize that when bad reactions occur, they can be lifelong, and please, please realize that babies who have been through so much like Logan has are at the MOST RISK for bad reactions.

It is none of my business, but I have been researching vaccinations for a month now, and I would NEVER start Logan yet. You can give him all the vaccinations, but you do not have to start so soon. I beg you to wait. Waiting will not hurt him. Jumping in at the first second after his ordeals CAN HURT HIM.

PLEASE check out www.thinktwice.com. I don't mean to scare you, or do I? Perhaps I do. I have prayed so hard for little Logan.

They put too many toxins into new babies with brand new immune systems these days. At his stage, we do not know what the condition of Logan's immune system is. It may be supported by Mommy's breast milk, but maybe not enough due to his small size.

I have not yet vaccinated Oliver, and he is 8 months old. I will have him vaccinated for some things, but I chose to wait until his immune system was older. In Japan they don't immunize before 2 years old. There is a lot to read about this subject and I can recommend books if you like.

I vaccinated my oldest child fully and early, and he has autism. I will never know if that is why. I really can't say. I will say that all experts agree that only VERY HEALTHY CHILDREN should EVER receive vaccines. While Logan is doing SO WELL, PRAISE G-D, he has very recently been through so much. I would NOT VACCINATE tomorrow.

Sorry to be so pushy. I truly only want the best for your precious boy. My own pediatrician heard my concerns for my baby, and was fine with us waiting. He said, "Call us when you are ready."

One last thing: think about it. These vaccines are made for babies who could be 10 lbs. Logan is half that. Consider waiting. He will not be in a daycare setting. He will be safely at home with mom or Gramma.

OK, I will shut up now.

Well, I gotta admit that there are some Yankees I do hold a grudge against.
They're called liberal Democrat Yankees!

Never, Yaelle.
You're interested in Logan's welfare, and that's my only concern, also.
