From the article:
A new mobile device app called BillionGraves...
A Billion Graves, eh? Why only a billion? Haven't approximately 107 billion people already lived on this earth? [see below for source] (How many more to come?)
How can the Mormon church possibly baptize the billion dead people that cross over every 39-40 years and play "catch-up" for the 100 billion that's already lived and died?
Per one estimate given Nov. 4, 2011: The world death rate is 8 deaths per 1,000 population. 53.4 million people die each year, which is about 146,357 deaths each day. Answered - 12 days ago at 7:59pm on Nov 04 2011
Source: What is the death rate around the world?
That means the estimated death rate is 26.7 MILLION every half-year around the world. And their only capturing headstones at a rate of 250,000 every six months? The article says:
The photographing and transcribing effort, performed by volunteers, has already generated 250,000 headstone transcriptions in six months, Brother Cross said...
That means that for every headstone they capture, another 26 head off into oblivion. And that multiplies. It's not like "gaining ground" ratio-wise on a one out of every 27 ratio allows them to "catch up."
In fact, toss in the factor of how Johnny-come-lately the Mormon death-obsession machine is on the scene. We have 7 billion people alive now on the planet; but how many have ever lived, estimate-wise?
Carl Haub of the nonprofit Population Reference Bureau estimated in 2002 that it was 106 billion -- now 9 years later likely to be 107 billion.
Source: Number of humans who have ever lived
107 billion minus 7 billion now alive = 100 billion who have died before us. What paltry number of people out of 107 billion does the Mormon church even have in its data bases, let alone find teen and college kids to "stand in" for the dead dunking?
How many Mormon converts of the dead has the Mormon church really made via proxy baptism of the dead?
To: All
Last post I left off with the question: How many Mormon converts of the dead has the Mormon church
really made via proxy baptism of the dead?
If 100 billion have already died
and another billion die in less than every-40 years, why arent Mormons doing more to obsessively focus on the dead?
Are they not listening to their leaders?
Lds founding prophet Joseph Smith:
The GREATEST RESPONSIBILITY IN THIS WORLD that God has placed upon us is to SEEK AFTER OUR DEAD. (Joseph Smith, Jr., Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, p. 356)
Lds prophet Wilford Woodruff, who had the Mormon power to begin turning off the valve of polygamy:
There is hardly any principle the Lord has revealed that I have rejoiced more in than in the redemption of our dead
(Teachings of Presidents: Wilford Woodruff, pp. 192-193)
LDS scripture:
It is the baptism for the dead. For we without them cannot be made perfect; neither can they without us be made perfect. (Lds doctrines & covenants 128:18)
Are not the Mormons to be the saviors of the entire dead world?
The answer, which per Mormon leaders, is yes to that question. See here for documentation:

What I find interesting is how many times the information is just plain wrong when you go to the industry site.
My Mom’s birthday and place of birth are incorrect. (Yea, its her because the SS# is correct)
The obsession with the dead is just creepy.
I mean you even see that in the BattleStar Galacatica story lines.

Dust to dust - ashes to ashes.
The trend is cremation - no gravestones - just urns.
Very few of the humans who have inhabited this earth were buried in graves - with head stones or plinths.
Wild stuff.

Of course, they have 52,000 missionaries who largely go into areas where true Christian missionaries have worked for centuries.
They ride in on the good will created by Christian missionaries...and then counterfeit themselves as just another Christian outpost.
Btw, 2 Lds proselytizers were killed on their bikes last week in Texas.
Such work is hazardous business.

How will Mormon geneaologists search them out?
And here Mormons talk about the supposed "fairness" system of theirs.
How "fair" will it be for the tombstoneless of the centuries?

IMHO the Mormon genealogy records are a treasure for non-Mormons, regardless of the LDS motivation.
But one has to question the accuracy - since Mormonism only began in the 18th century. Someone’s obsession has become a hobby for others.

IMHO the Mormon genealogy records are a treasure for non-Mormons, regardless of the LDS motivation.Well, that works both ways. The info non-Mormons uncover is used by Mormons to proxy baptize dead people -- and hence dishonor the dead.
For those who don't think that is dishonorable, I don't think Mormons would appreciate fundamentalist Mormons baptizing mainstream Mormons to become fundies in the world to come...
...Or Satanists having elaborate candlelight hooded sessions to dedicate by name Mormon spirits as newly joined fellow Satanists...
...Or Muslims dunking Mormons so that they become spirit-world jihadists...
...even they might fantasize about the alleged "fringe benefits" of all those extra virgins...

1 My enemies haven't been zotted.
2 The owner doesn't support my candidate.
3 FR won't "upgrade" to "Like" buttons and blinky crap.
4 Someone else will donate.
5 My friend was zotted.
6 I lost my job and have no income.
Only one of those is a legitimate reason.

Mormon headquarters Send more money(Well, it's either that or they could encourage Mormons to die faster so that they can send more "missionaries" into the spirit world)
And for those who think that's a bit of an exaggeration for Mormons...at the funeral on Monday for one of the Mormon missionaries killed last week in Texas, a speaker said he was continuing his mission in the spirit world.
SVCW is right: Creepy cobweb Mormonism...dug up out of the cob webs of Joseph Smith's macabre mind.

Maybe its a good thing that the mormon god told Williard Mitt Romney to drive a Citroen DS when he was an LDS proselytizer...
He could have been killed in that fatal accident in Paris..

To: Colofornian
and a lot of people dont know that the Romneys dont “suffer” or “sacrifice” when they go on Mormon Evangalical trips...
Elder Big Daddy George Romneuy had a loverly time in England
Elder Younger Son Willie Mitty had a bon affaire in Paris living in a mansion, eating good food, working for the mission top guy over France and driving a Citroen DS, the top of the line car...
and I think his girl friend Ann Davis visited him at least 2 times..
as well as his Dad...
Most of those perks are not allowed for peon Mormon boys...
Where did Mitt’s five boys go ???
To: Colofornian
Oh did I mention thats how Willie mitty was living during the time he was a DRAFT DODGER and refused to go to Vietnam ???
1966-1968..
His religious leaders gave him a deferment...
They were handing them out like candy to the Mormon boys...
Big Daddy George was head of the DRAFT BOARD...
aint that cozy...
George decided Junior shouldnt go to Vietnam...
