>>The bird is red and that’s why its called a cardinal.<<

And the bird was named after the robes (seriously).

Good to see I got the rest right.

Right, Sal? :)

19) We have a Pope! After the Pope is elected, the Dean of Cardinals steps onto the balcony of the Vatican and announces “We have a Pope!”

Zzzz! Thanks for playing. From Wikipedia:

"The Senior Cardinal Deacon then announces from a balcony over St. Peter's Square the following proclamation: Annuntio vobis gaudium magnum! Habemus Papam! ("I announce to you a great joy! We have a pope!"). He then announces the new pope's Christian name along with his newly chosen regnal name."
The Dean of the College of Cardinals is a Cardinal Bishop, not a Cardinal Deacon.

Around 50% of my responses are serious.

If I was you, I would go to Final Jeopardy.

“Scott is winning with $11,200 — Jennie is in 2nd place with $9,600. Cliff is still in the running with $300.”

Holy SCHMOLEY! I am amazed you found that.

Did you know he was expelled from The Vatican for pretending to be a Priest? (think Lazlo Toth...).

Yes, I realized that after my hasty post. But thanks for pinging me to it, at any rate.

I didn’t read the “real answers”, but the papal ring is always smashed, it’s the Papal Seal for that Pope. Am I right? Do I win a trip to the Sistene Chapel? Oh, darn, can’t go there....bunch of Cardinals have “Overtake the Vatican”

Maybe I should go see the White House? Drat, can’t see that now, either. It’s a darn good thing my bucket list is finished....

(ps I am a Catholic, and don’t really take this as lightly as it seems. It’s a very wiggly-woggly time to be a Catholic. Who will be the boss of us now? (really..don’t some of us feel like that? Although it’s not as bad as when a Pope dies, that’s even scarier) And yes, I do laugh at funerals...just not Papal ones. Glad we won’t have one of those!

Pope Emeritus Benedict’s ring will not be destroyed or smashed. It has been defaced, the hand-crafted unique seal on top wiped out.
